Clean, Italian summer stay feeling

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 29, 2016via mobile
The hotel reminds me and really is a summer stay for Italians and some but not many foreign tourists. Clean, room had fridge, nice size bed, balcony and you could borrow an iron at the reception from the owners' mum. This is essentially family run hotel which is very nice. Breakfast basic Italian so no fresh fruit and no vegetables but no fuss either when I brought my own into the dinning room. Fresh coffee and tea , plus for the soy milk when you ask for it.
Plus: friendly, helpful, nice relax feeling, exceptionally friendly cleaning lady.
To work on: no wifi in the room on the 2nd floor, improve breakfast with drag veg and fruit and while grain bread.
I actually prefer this to the grand hotel of sperlonga as it's more authentic. Good price EUR 60 per night on weekend. Parking included.

We stayed at this modern and pleasant hotel for 2 weeks in beginning of July -15. Umberto with family and staff made us feel very welcome and the service was great. Rooms are modern with a new feel to them, bathrooms are fresh. Rooms are cleaned every day by lovely staff always with smile on their faces! Breakfast included and you can order dinner, but we never did, though.
We highly recommend this nice family hotel!

Amazing hotel that made our stay in Sperlonga even more wonderful!
It is located 5 minutes from the sea, but for us it wasn't a problem, as it is a pleasure to walk on nice Sperlonga streets. Beach is free and located about 8 minutes from the hotel.
Clean room, free internet, good breakfast, very friendly staff, great Italian coffee and much more.
We had only breakfast included, but evening coffee from the bar wasn't added to the bill. Coke in the mini bar is just 1 EUR.

Definitely recommend it to everybody who wants a comfort and quite stay.

P.S. Visit beautiful Sperlonga, if you have a chance.

We were sent here by the Caribineri after finding the hotel we had booked was closed. The owner was brilliant in sorting out a refund from the closed hotel, and helping us report a car accident to the police (a truck took out our wing mirror). So after a horrible start we ended up loving Sperlonga and this hotel. We stayed for 4 nights.

Good Italian breakfast with fresh fruit and proper italian coffee. Room was comfortable with a balcony with a view of the old town. Very quite and peaceful area, bit of a walk to their own beach or the old town. Sperlonga is a charming town with a beautiful sandy beach, good restaurants and nice atmosphere. Not overcrowded and mainly Italians holidaying there.

Short 15 minute drive to Fondi where you can get a train to rome. Secure parking next to the station for 3 euros.

Big thank you to Umberto and his sister for all the help they provided - outstanding customer service! (Big raspberry to Hotels.com who did nothing to help sort out the original booking problem.)

We stayed here for another 2 days on our way back from Amalfi, and would love to return again.

Thanks to Trip Ad, we found this lovely hotel. the location is very nice cause it is close to the beach, take you about 5 minutes to walk there ( take the short cut, straight to the beach). The staff are very helpful and friendly. Room is good and all the rooms have nice view. Equipt in the room are very modern, we dont even know how to turn on the AC but we were lucky with the weather, it is so cool so we dont need AC during our trip. COntinental breakfast is nice as well

Room tip: Be careful to look for the hotel, cause the sign board says Elaia hotel is on the otherside of the road; the hotel doesnt have big sign on the top so we wandered around for nearly 2hrs looking for it. Could not ask people around cause they dont speak much English. Lucky we found a Police car, and we asked them. Phew!!! Very annoyed but once we enter the hotel, very satisfied that we chose it.

Although a little more expensive that we would liked to have paid for 3 nights, this hotel was great. Very modern, comfortable and clean. We had a balcony room to the front of the builiding which was nice at time as it was still very warm and we could sit out and listen to the music from downstairs in the restaurant and we also were lucky to watch the fireworks on the night before the bank holiday.

The breakfast was lovely, continental as usual but very good quality produce compared to what is on offer in other italian hotels. The hotel staff were very friendly and although their english was limited and our italian even more sore, they made a huge effort to accomodate us at every opportunity. Wifi was available for guests but a thing to note is that it only worked in the foyer of the hotel. If you wanted to watch tv, none was available unless you were prepared to pay for sky. This did not affect us as we didnt want to watch tv.

All in all, i loved this hotel and would reccomend it.

Room tip: Front of hotel is best.
