Visited the restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. He was not wrong. Interesting menu and well cooked, tasty food. Good portions too. Recommended. Well worth a visit.

Rooms clean, public areas clean, friendly staff... what more do you need?

Well, my sister moaned that there were no Tattie Scones on the ‘Full Scottish Breakfast’ on the first morning.. the next morning a plate of home made Tattie Scones were delivered to the breakfast table. A great touch of brilliant customer service.

Really couldn’t fault the place

Fantastic room. Great staff. Nigel the Manager extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. The evening meal was the best we had in a long time. Great night sleep to help us keep pedalling to John O Groats. Definitely go again

Stayed overnight on way up to Inverness. We have used this venue once before due to its location close to the A74. As previously we were welcomed by mine host Nigel, who showed us to our room on the ground floor. It was huge, with a sitting area and comfortable bed, a bijou bathroom, and full snack making facilities, with a door direct to the car park.
Dinner was chosen from an impressive menu and was absolutely delicious, as was the full Scottish breakfast next morning, so we left replete, relaxed and ready for the days driving.

Thank Richard B

Had the dish of the day. Home made mushroom soup and the best lamb I have eaten for a long time. Beautiful restaurant or eat in the bar area. Highly recommended..
