My husband, son and I stayed here and we couldn't have been happier! I loved the yeoman feel of our cottage, with its wood-slat ceiling and walls. We had a separate bedroom--five beds in all--with a full kitchen, air conditioning in the bedroom, and those wonderful open shutters that let the sea breeze flow through the rooms. The shower was a single person one, to be sure, but the water was hot--exactly as I like. I was also grateful for the full kitchen and all the amenities. The beds were very comfortable. The front porch feels like a lanai; it is an open-air extension of the cottage, and it overlooks one of the most beautiful views of the oceans I've ever seen. It is here that breakfast is served on a wooden tray. And what a breakfast! There were three kinds of yogurt, fresh fruit and fruit juices, coffee, different types of tea, raw sugar and--upon request--cream for my tea. The different types of bread were abundant, to say the least. There were croissants, chocolate-filled dainties, little sweet cakes, custards, and French bread. The jam was wonderful! The waves' constant swishing onto the shore was a constant soothing backdrop which calmed us by day and lulled us to sleep each night. We walked into town--about a 15-minute stroll--and bought a few groceries during our short stay. It's a pleasant walk with different and constantly beautiful views of the landscape. It seemed to me that every view around the island and Brise Marine was postcard perfect. Christophe had met us at the airport and also took us on an all-day tour while we were there. He was a wonderful guide and we took in the Balata Gardens, museum, Diamond Rock and the memorial for the slaves who drowned when their ship capsized offshore--and much more. Christophe had told us that he had been on our end of the travel experience for many years, especially in French-speaking Africa, so he works very diligently to provide the best service as our host.

My wife and I stayed at Brise Marine and couldn’t have been happier. There are many advantages. First of all, the setting is beautiful. Our bungalow (number 11) had a beautiful view of the water and the landscape beyond (boats, the village beyond, and some mountains). I believe all the bungalows have such a view, and almost certainly, from all of them, you can hear the sound of the surf as you go to sleep. No need to keep the shutters all the way closed, since night-time temperatures are quite pleasant. In fact, we had temps hovering between 75 and 85 the whole time. Quite pleasant. The room was a little plain, but very adequate. The bed was fine and it was great to have a kitchen available. The breakfast that Christophe – the gracious hotel owner – brought to our room was plentiful—yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, and PLENTY of bread. We sprang for the 12-euro breakfast only two or three times. There was so much bread and jam left over, we decided to use that as the basis for several more breakfasts -- we just bought yogurt, fruit and juice at a grocery store (Carrefours) located conveniently down the road .

The hotel is conveniently located near two restaurants: a pricey but very good French place, Pura Vida, just a 5-to-10 minute walk away and a less pretentious one, Les Graines du Sable, about 10 minutes away. But the town of Sainte Luce is just a 15-to-20 minute walk away, with a bigger selection of restaurants.

We spent four beautiful nights in room #6 just before Christmas. What a wonderful relaxing place to kick back for a leisurely visit to Martinique. A beautiful setting right on the beach, can't get any closer except room 7. Well kept little hotel perfect for those that want to get away from the crowds and relax. A short walk north to Sainte-Luce fishing village and beautiful walk south along the shore to see Diamond Rock. We visited the Balata Gardens, scuba dove in Les Anses-d'Arlet with Alpha Phongee, dined at several near by restaurants took a hike in the Rain Forrest and saw some beautiful beaches.
