We chose Ti Paradis sight-unseen because we wanted something other than the large, large impersonal resorts we usually stay at in the Caribbean, and this proved to be a perfect decision. The property is clean, quaintly original, and very peaceful with a lovely outdoor breakfast terrace and swimming pool. The rooms, while not large, are comfortable and homelike. The view from our balcony was stunning. The location of Ti Paradis is wonderful - situated across from a quiet public beach with its extensive walking trail, and just a few minutes' walk down the hill to the town of St. Luce, where there is an abundance of good but casual "feet in the sand" style restaurants, allowing us to have our fill of 'ti punch', wine and seafood in the evening without having to drive back. The St. Luce area is also a great place to be based in when exploring the island's beaches by car.
While we're comfortable speaking French, this really isn't a necessity at Ti Paradis and shouldn't scare Americans away. We met guests there from a variety of countries, speaking a variety of languages. The hosts strike the perfect balance of being friendly and available, without being intrusive. We'll definitely be back.
