My father and I were extremely lucky to get a reservation at this B&B. Ken, the owner, was a great host and provided that true feel of Scotland. He was extraordinarily knowledgeable, had great stories, and was entertaining. He even took it upon himself to book a distillery tour at Aberlour for us, and even helped us book B&B's in our next destination. As we were looking for some family history in the area, he aided us greatly in that mission as well. The B&B itself was very clean, nice, and the location is terrific - right by the River Spey, walking distance to Aberlour distillery and the delicious Mash Tun restaurant, and minute drives to Craighellachie, Dufftown, and other distillery towns. This is definitely worth staying at.

My partner and I stayed here after a week's camping on the Speyside Way. Hosts were really friendly and welcoming, room and ensuite bathroom were generously sized and breakfast was great. Only slight downside was that we were staying in their secondary residence which meant no wifi, but there was a computer available to use at main b and b residence, just across the road.

This place was very charming....it has the homiest feel of all the places we stayed on our trip. The owner was very hospitable and had many useful suggestions and tips for what to do on our short stay. He was also very helpful in getting us booked at the Arbelour Distillery (which by his advice was a must do whiskey distillery....and I agree!)

We enjoyed so much our three days in Norlaggan and we can say that this B&B is higly recommended. The nice couple who running the B&B are very hospitable and no have problems with share their huge knowledge of the area. They recommend us lovely walks and beautifull places to visit in Speyside. Also the food was very good and plenty, the rooms are very clean and the situation is really good to explore the area and the destilleries. In a few words: "the best B&B in Moray county"

We spent a week at Norlaggan and, despite being initially apprehensive at the prospect of shared bathroom facilities, were very happy with our stay there- I suppose that's a North American hang-up. Even when there were other guests the bathroom arrangement was never a problem- the separate toilet making a big difference. The room was large enough to spread our belongings about (we have never mastered the art of "travelling light"), and the housekeeping was impeccable. Ken and Ros are charming and helpful hosts, and his repertoire of Scottish history, lore, and anecdote is ifself worth the price of admission.

Great introduction to Scottish hospitality. The property is centrally located within minutes walk to pubs, restaurants and stores. Breakfast was decent and the room was a tad cramped for a family of four (we were allowed a fifth infant) and ours didn't have an ensuite. But the owners were friendly, easy going and very hospitable while not being intrusive, making us feel welcome and enjoying our stay. Couldn't fault Ken's knowledgeable recommendation to visit Abelour distillery given my preferences. Only if they allowed use of their backyard which backs on to the Spey river or had a balconey with views to the back, this place would be perfect.

Homely and well run. Ken is a gem and knows his whisky. Roz was excellent as well. She made us a pot of homemade soup one evening and in the morning we were told that it was on the house. Great place to stay. Central for a lot of distilleries. We wanted for nothing. Speyside hospitallity at its very best.
