Hi visited restaurant this evening with colleague, hotel prides itself as a Scottish steakhouse. We both were told "sorry no sirloin and no ribeye and the rump steak is only minute rump" ordered the minute rump and side of rocket and Parmesan salad to be told "sorry chef has no Parmesan". Colleague ordered a plum crumble for dessert to be told "sorry it's very sweet too much sugar in it". Food we ate was actually very nice but at 7.30pm seemed odd to have run out of several steak varieties when there were only a few other tables eating!

My Daughter and I stayed in this hotel for one night. We were there for a wedding and it was conveniently located to the wedding venue.
We were given an early check-in, which was good so that we could get changed for the wedding. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great. It was a full English Breakfast Buffet.

Not the best in Prices drinks wise very expensive a bottle of Sauvignon wine £42 , and food menu expensive .
They look to be re- decorating [ painting ] and the restaurant is lovely and every thing is really clean , but it is in desperate need of a revamp in the bedrooms ,
the furniture is very tiered and the bathroom is very worn and tiered .
On the whole ok but not the best

Room tip: Request a back room with river view or you will get the car park view

Most Macdonalds hotels have gym & spa. Only wanted a treadmill but thankfully a nice location for a run by the river. Room great and the best sleep.... Food was great apart from the best cut steak that was full of gristle. Staff were very pleasant and would stop again if in the area.

We were booked to stay for 2 nights but despite finding a bedroom noisy from traffic and now everything rather dated stayed only 1. Staff were ok but the meal was in a new Steakhouse not cheap we live in London too. As nothing else could be eaten at night except in the bar we went a 1.5 miles up the road for much less to another 4star modern hotel .
It's purely location don't go!!
