Visited this in the summer with children. The beginning to the Green from the Park is very nice with lots to see
The majority of the Green however, past the first railway bridge is frankly disgusting. Cows apparently are allowed to graze throughout the summer and the whole area, including the great all weather track is covered in cow poo The children were unable to play safely and the cycles came back with poo all over them as did our backs!!
This should be a wonderful facility but is ruined by the cows. If grass etc is a problem perhaps a local farmer may cut it for hay??
As it is I could never recommend it

Yes its the largest green in the Country, not county and what a fabulous place it is too! I just hope the locals appreciate what they have on their door step not only is Halesworth a lovely little town but they have this wonderful place for all the family, old and young alike, to enjoy, We had enjoyed walking round the town, having a cuppa on arrival on Tilly's Cafe Terrace then another one at the other end of town at Cafe Frapa, walked to the museum and thought we would sit a while in the park when instead we walked for what seemed like miles as there was so much to see. There are loos, a little playarea, a skate/BMX park and miles of goodwalk/cycle paths that lead off in various directions. We found part of the old narrow railway that used to run to Southwold along with lots of other bridges and water ways. A lovely place for a picnic too. Lots of butterflies flying around and some beautiful lilles now coming out on the water. Beautiful and all for free! Only thing missing is a little icecream kiosk!

good for the whole family so much too look at. pram and disabled friendly a nice smooth walkway. there is a park for the little ones and then for the teens there is the skate park, for the whole family a basket ball court. so dont forget the ball. a perfect picnic area to chill. there is a help- yourself orchard which is free organically grown fruit. for the night owls in us take the walk see the glow worms owls and other nocturnal wildlife. perfect setting for a romantic picnic for the two of you. for the budding artists, grab your pad and pencils you would not be short of wildlife to draw. there is pond dipping too there is too much to mention and the best part is it dont cost a penny a fab time with the family for free

The millennium green is work in progress run by local volunteers, and each time I visit I am impressed by what a peasant place for walking. There is also wildlife to see -- though can be difficult when it is busy. But Kingfishers, Tree Creepers, water voles are all regularly seen wsith plent more. On a sunny afternoon, now where better for a quiet stroll.
