I agree with recent reviews. Not even the room thermometer works. Mine said 39 and 40C all the time. Not correct. If the outside air is good and comfortable, there is a way to get the room climate more comfortable. Switch the ac to fan only and on low, and open the window. Thermals will get the air to circulate reasonably well. Without this trick, the rooms are uncomfortable. I would stay here again, by using this trick.

Room tip: Open the window and switch AC to fan if outside is nice, otherwise skip this hotel

I wouldn't stay here again. First night attempts were made to fix my room air conditioning. Second night tried two more rooms. Air conditioning not adequate to cope even with temperatures in May. Room not very clean. Breakfast poor. Tv limited My advice is don't bother. Better hotels now in Xuzhou

Rooms are big enough for 2 persons. Aircond could be colder. 26 floor restaurand could be better. Internet working good. No safe doposit in my room on 16th floor. English speaking of staff is limited as always in China.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now. It is a modern and clean place to stay with a variety of food options in the hotel and close by. The reception staff have a varied level of English but all seem to be more than happy to help. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, some of the corner rooms, 1918 and 1818 for instance are large and have plenty of floor space for the same price as a standard room.

Breakfast is on the 26 floor with panoramic views of the city, but only on days with no smog. On a clear morning you get good views of the lake and mountians, on a bad day you can only just see down the street.

There are a number of restaurants serving a range of western, cantonese and chinese food, a lobby bar and a small business centre. The six floor restaurant staff were not helpful as their confidence to speak English just wasnt there, but to their credit they called an english speaker from reception who then stayed within calling distance for the entire meal. The gym is nothing to shout about but is usable.

Overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Xuzhou. It is close to the centre of town for all the shops yet far enough away to miss some of the noise and around 20 mins taxi ride to the industrial areas.

Room tip: The corner rooms are great.

The hotel is in good location to reach the city. For people looking something more quite it could be too noisy. Otherwise, China IS noisy. The offered breakfast has a good western touch. Beside eggs and toast, the coffee is drinkable, orange juice isn't that artificial. Additional the hotel offers jam and honey with butter. All kind of Chinese food is available too. The rooms are okay, clean and enough space. The laundry service is fast and in time. Service at the bar is available, also the ATM inside the lobby accepts western credit cards. Unfortunately the reception doesn't speak English. It seems they can understand but they are not willing to reply. The Internet is available by wire on the room free of charge. The speed is reliable for Skype plus video. The lobby and the restaurant on 26th floor offer wifi for free in a good speed.
