We stayed in many parks whilst roaming around New Zealand and this was up there with the best. We booked a cabin for two for one night, calling up the night before to secure our room. The cabin itself was perfectly clean comprising a double bed (quite a hard mattress but we kind of like that), desk, chair, fridge, sink, microwave. All towels, linen and washing up liquid provided (I hate it when I have to buy a new bottle every time!). There was also an en suite bathroom with toilet, sink and shower cubicle, all spotless. All the cabins have little decks outside with a table and chairs and some have good accessibility ramps.
Your deck looks out over the tents and campers in the large grassy park that forms the bulk of the camp site. It's dotted with nice trees and when we were there, smothered with families and friends grilling and drinking, children playing and everyone generally having a great time. There are plenty of showers in the main shower block, a huge, excellent kitchen, laundry, games room etc etc and it's smack in the middle of little Geraldine town so you can ditch your camper van for the night and still access lots of local life.
