“Lovely - But Terrible Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2012

Just got back from 2 weeks all inc, first impressions lovely little apartments very modern and clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Little dissapointed the first night cost us almost 60 euros to be provided with air-con and there was no food available upon arrival not even a little snack for the kids. Breakfast was nice and simple eggs beans sausages etc but lunch and tea were pretty much inedible unless you like pasta chips and fish in sauce you are screwed. Most of what was left over from lunch looked like it had been re-heated and put out for tea time. We ate out most nights which was frustrating since we had paid to be all inc to avoid spending loads on food. Pool area was nice and spacious, entertainment wasnt fantastic but there is only so much one man can do, however the kids loved "bobo" he made a real effort with them and kept it fun for the adults on a night. I would go back to Caleta just not Cay Beach!!!

Just back from our second stat Cay Beach, went in September last year and had such a wonderful time we went again for a week on the 12th of this month and it was just as good. weather was fantastic 40% most days with a light breeze which was very welcoming.
We asked for room 465 which we had before as it is lovely & quiet with easy access to the beach's and Town, only a few minutes walk away. Can't comment on the food or entertainment as we go self catering, the are so many lovely places to eat in the evening that we didn't spend much time at the complex. The apartments are really nice, well equipped and very clean.
Really cannot fault Cay Beach in any way, we love it, so much so that we are going back for Christmas & New year and yes self catering, for us that is the best way to go.

Room Tip: If you like piece and quiet ask for an apartment away from the pool & bar area.

We travelled 14th may stayed for 1 week all inclusive, villas are really nice and clean cleaners came everyday, staff are really friendly and funny although they do appreciate it if you can say bits of Spanish it always puts a smile on there face! Entertainment was non existent for adults ok for the kids but very short and sweet, drinks wise really good a few cocktails, beer(san miguel)self service :) spirits and fizzy selection, also the pool is brill! its really big and a lifeguard is always around. Bad stuff: we seen a few cockroach's on our terrace, on the first day we arrived we went for lunch it was an ok selection i got some pork and had a smell just before eating it (habit thing) it was definitely off so needless to say we didn't eat there that day, breakfast everyday was great and we are by no means fussy eaters but 5 of the seven evenings we HAD to eat out the food was just uneditable would maybe go again but definitely not AI also we had room 255 and the door look like somebody had definitely tried to break in it was bent like a screwdriver had been used and it didn't open smoothly it would catch it also states on the website that you can eat in alacarte restraunt once a week but when we asked about this we was told that it was under new management and was no longer included in the service.

Room Tip: Get a room near the pool

just come back from a week all inclusive ,booked flights ryanair and accomadation lo cost holidays as had seen lots people on here had done ,is def the cheapest ,we met people who had paid almost four times the price !!!! i asked for a pool view room and got a great one room 355 ,we were 2 adults and 2 children ,bungalow was immaculate clean and modern ,had lots wardrobe space and all kitchen apliances even though we didnt use any as on AI ,we could get food ,drinks all day , the breakfasts pretty good lots choice ,lunch and dinner very similar lots choice so always something to eat ,we ate out twice as fancied a change of scenery and went out with friends we met on our last night ,fair few people were not happy with food ,but we thought it was fine ,kids were not too keen and prefered the snacks from pool bar ,toasties, burgers ,hot dogs ,pool area nice ,everywhere clean ,friendly staff ,close to beach and bars etc ,all in all we had a great week for a bargain price and would def go again ,very good value for money .

Room Tip: ask for pool view room ,as they are spread out ,some are even across the road ,355 was great .

We are just back from Fuerteventura, we stayed at the Cay Beach Villas on an all inclusive deal for 7nights with LowCost Holidays, and thouroughly enjoyed our time here, the villas are very well maintained, modern, the food was good, varied and plentiful, always something you could eat, the resort of caleta de Fuste is very nice, no high rise building, plenty small bars and eating places, prices very reasonable, and some nice walks along promenade to the Harbour, and nice flat for walking, overall a very charming little resort , good entertainment everything near at hand, would highly recommend, would go back again, suitable for both couples and families, i would say u can never please everybody, and people that give bad reviews on food, remember u r in spain,

Room Tip: Try getting room near pool, so not so far to walk

Stayed 10 nights at Cay Beach from 25th April 2012
The bungalows were exceptionally clean, great walk in shower, with kitchen facilities. We were all inclusive, the food was adequate and varied but would say only 2*, wine was plentiful but not nice! soft drinks and beer were good.
What the hotel is lacking as every one else has said is a lounge bar, there's nowhere comfortable to to sit in the evenings except the downstairs bar, horrid!!! plastic chairs, tables and cups, how can you enjoy a gin & tonic, a cocktail or even a beer in a small plastic cup!!! my theory is the management don't want you stay for free drinks in the evening so they make it as uncomfortable as possible lol.
The majority of the staff were great, ask anything of reception staff and they can't do enough to help.
Things to do...a number 3 bus to Rosario for shopping, a great mall with lots of choice in small good shops, The Windmill bar just down the road from the hotel, drinks 2 for 1!! a good breakfast and cheap good snacks. Piero's bar, great entertainment in the evening, don't miss barman "Crazy Legs Brian" great singer and entertainer after 11pm in the Beer Garden.
Lots of nice walks with lots of places to stop for coffee etc.A really great resort that's quiet and relaxing, would go again but to different accommodation.

Room Tip: The whole place is like a maze, we had room 409 which was near reception and great, otherwise take y...
