Can not fault this resort. The staff especially are fantastic, the food awesome, the scenery beautiful. Went for the club premium half board worth every penny. We had a junior suite with a view looking over the bay, and our own Jacuzzi. The pool area was spotless and the beach was a stones throw away. There is plenty to do in Caleta and surrounding area, but if you don't want to go too far from the resort, there is plenty to keep everyone occupied. There was evening entertainment, not our thing, but if you have kids it would probably suit you.
You must have a cocktail in the 'El Faro' bar which is above the diving school at the end of the marina - probably the best mojito's I have ever had, and it's just a beautiful setting for a sunny afternoon drink.
Would have no hesitation returning to this resort again, and if this is the standard offered by Barceló at their other resorts, we would happily use them elsewhere!
Again, just to emphasize the point - the staff are fantastic and really helped make this a holiday to remember.

long , long waiting time to check in. Only very few rooms downstairs have the chic decor and the garden Jacuzzi that can be seen on photos. Beach in comparison to others not special.Use of spa comes at a substantial extra cost
But staff is friendly and the gardens a delight , a full minibar with cueva fruits water and soft drinks complimentary till it needs refilling a real bonus.
Food ok ,fresh orange juice for breakfast, but some of the typical issues with buffet.

In regard to the additional charges for the Spa I would like to inform you that this is an extra service because it belongs to the nearby Barceló Thalasso Fuerteventura.

On the other hand, I am really sorry to hear about the inconvenience with the long waiting time at the check in but this is not a normal thing to hear. Maybe it was a pick moment of arrivals for the reception team.

We are very thankful for all your positive comments about the staff members, I will personally forward it to all of them.

We are here now & cannot fault the place our room is just perfect the staff are so friendly & helpful from reception to restaurant though have only used Ancla where we have breakfast & dinner & John by our pool couldn't be any nicer would highly recommend room 4024 perfect sea view &sun all afternoon shame we leave Sunday & correspondence with Denise prior to hol was excellent.

Visited as our first family holiday with our 10 month old baby having really enjoyed the adults only sister hotel in Jandia the previous year. Our first disappointment was discovering there is no Premium service for lunch and dinner was only available from 18:30 as our baby's bedtime is 7pm. The next major issue was that the babysitting service we'd planned to use some nights turned out to cost 20EUR per hour- more than twice what we pay in London! So that was out of the question. We tried the standard restaurant but the food really wasn't great - there is a huge difference in the quality of the food between standard and premium. The food in premium was excellent in terms of both selection and quality and is certainly worth paying more for. Our next issue was the wifi. It certainly doesn't work in the resort as a whole; it only works in a tiny area of reception and only intermittently. When it does work it's extremely slow so don't expect to stream TV etc.

One tip for those visiting in winter- the only warm pool is next to La Perlita. The pool area in the Premium garden where we stayed was beautiful and lovely for sunbathing but very cold.

The service was generally very good with the exception of Eva on Premium Reception who was both unhelpful and made it clear she really didn't care.

If we hadn't been restricted by travelling with our baby and the wifi/babysitting issues hadn't bothered us then I think it's a nice resort. However if you don't have kids I strongly recommend Barcelo Jandia Club Premium over this hotel.

Room Tip: 4015 is accessible room with direct access to the pool (no steps). 4016 is ground floor but no sun on the patio.

I went away with my wife and mother in law, we had been before and raved about it.
Again, they didn't let us down, in fact, my wife and I are going back in a few weeks time.
All the restaurants are absolutely fantastic, some have international cuisine, and some have great local fayre.
The weather wasn't the greatest, we had some sun, but in no way did it dampen our time with Barcelo.
Please keep up the great work, and we'll keep coming back.
