If you book Royal Level on the website specify that you want Block 4 as this is where the private rooms ,pool and restaurant are not Block 5!!!!!They do not tell you that there are 2 blocks on the website .Only when you check in do you get told.Block 5 is where the main hotel guests are and there is a trek to the royal level pool and amenities.They say block 5 is royal level but its not ,its dark and there is not alot of privacy .The management are useless ,they know guests will complain so they try and pacify you with apologies and promises .The worst service from a hotel management in 25 years.The only thing that keep you sane are the private restaurant staff , food and bar people who are kind ,considerate and helpful.This is not a Royal level resort but premium level.Make sure you see your room before you pay.If we had got the rooms we had been moved to and paid for for the last 3 days of the holiday the review would have been completely different and i would be praising everything but unfortunately we did not.Shame.

Dear Customer,

First of all, we thank you for sharing your experience through TripAdvisor.
We are sad to read this type of comments since the whole hotel works really hard to offer an unforgettable experience for all our guests, it is sad that we did not get it with you.
On the other hand, I would like to say that we are working on changing the information on our website, as you already know, the Real Level is composed of two different areas but the two areas, even if they are located in different places, the standard of both is the same.
All our rooms are different so the choice depends on each client.

On the other hand we regret that from the beginning the stay was not really what t you expected but and every one of us did everything as much we can to try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Thank you for choosing us this time for your visit in Fuerteventura and we regret not having fulfilled our goal with you.

Barcelo Castillo Royal Level definitely lived up to its expectations. I took my mum on a surprise holiday and we were well looked after by Laura & Laura :) both super friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a suite in Block 4; the distance from our room to the seafront, beach and restaurant was no more than a couple minutes walk.Food at the El Ancla retaurant was delish and had a nice variety, particularly for dinner. You also get a great view of the sea and sunrise/sunset if you're sitting outside. We felt so relaxed tanning by the pool and even enjoyed sitting outside on our balcony! It was pure bliss. The guy at the pool bar (Roman?) was really pleasant and welcoming, he comes around with free snacks and fruit every so often. The only minor issue I had was that I felt rather itchy from the bedsheets so I ended up sleeping on the sofa for the last few nights. Though this could have been a skin irritation from the laundry detergents?Overall my mum and I had a fab stay - thanks again for everything and hope to come back again soon!

Had a great holiday last September and this year we booked for the royal level and would definitely book again for next September. Every thing about our holiday, accommodation , cleanliness, food,staff, facilities, location and the restaurant in particular were excellent Muchas gracias

my husband and I have been going to the barcelo for 6yrs which was premium at the time now royal level. over the past few years it has got worse.this year we were getti g people from the other side coming over to the royal level ad they over booked so many were not happy as we pay an extra 700 to stay there. plus one night the pork was not cooked and all the chef did was get a tissue and wipe the blood away we complained as people would get ill. also people who need gluten free dont get help. also blocked showers cold water they are slow to react its not good enough when you pay 2700 thats not including the flights for half board ive told them I won't be back until they change things and stop over booking do people who pay only 1500 are getting a good deal but should not be i there rant over. I do hope they change as the royal level is lovely

We are really sad for your comment regarding your stay at Barcelo Royal Level. The whole team works really hard trying to make a fantastic stay for all our guests.

In relation to the comment about "other" guests, I would like to explain that in months of high occupancy some clients are located in the Royal Level area. We also want to clarify that these clients do not have the same benefits as our Royal Level clients, they can only use the room and the pool, but they do not have all the benefits for what you are paying. I am sorry because you are so disappointed about this aspect but everyone has the right to have a vacation. We will transmit your comment to our managers so they will know about the situation and we hope to find a solution for everyone to agree on.

From our direction we improved our service in the Ancla restaurant and I do not like to know that you had a bad experience on it. We will personally inform about the problem with the pig. We would also like to inform that we take into account the special needs of our customers food, the gastronomic offer at the hotel is very large so everyone has options for their meals.

We are also very sorry for the inconvenience with the showers, always there is a maintenance problem we invite you to let us know as soon as possible to try to solve the problem. If the problem persists we offer a change of room. Always doing everything possible so that you can be comfortable during the stay.

We hope you change your mind and come back.
We will take into account your comments and try to improve!

This hotel exceeded our expectations from the welcome at reception to the range and quality of food available, the attentive teams in the bars and restaurants, cleanliness of the rooms and pool areas. Room had a pool / sea view, weather was superb, No need to be up at the crack of dawn for a sun bed there are always plenty available all day.. Thank you to everyone at Barcelo Castillo Royal Level looking forward to seeing you next year
