“Good Hotel Good Location”

Stayed here in May of this year. Rooms are spacious enough and quite modern for Greece. Pool area is kept well and plenty of comfortable sunbeds. We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis, though half board was available. (not sure about AI) Lots of choice for breakfast hot or cold.
The location of this hotel in great. Practically on the beach. Lots of tavernas/bars nearby as well.

Ideal for spending holidays in Santorini. It is situated on the beach. The hotel has a beautiful private beach arranged with umbrellas and lounge chairs . The food is very good and rich.
Spacious rooms, You might want to ask for rooms overlooking the pool, those overlooking the street a little noisy due to coaches passing through the front of the hotel.

Great location in Kamari beach and all staff are friendly. Rooms are great with a double bed as well as a couch. If you are wanting a relaxation place to stay here is the place to be, if you are wanting to go out every night clubbing and partying stay in Thira. Beach in Kamari is wonderful and spa i had a massage on the beach from the hotel spa and it was great! Depending on where you room is from reception, expect to lug your suitcase up and down a few sets of stairs.

I stayed in Afroditi Venüs Beach Hotel and Spa in Kamari, Santorini. We paid 440 Euro for 2 single and one twin room for 2 nights. I had a shock when my friend said it was a 3 star hotel because it definitely gave a 5 start hotel service. The rooms were spacious, new, clean, comfortable, good quality, classy.... They served us a beautiful fruit plate and a bottle of wine as soon as we settled in our rooms. The room was so clean that I tried so hard not to drop any liguid onto the bed.
As for Spa, I didnt like it at all. I paid 60 Euro for 50 minute massage which is 25 Euro in Cyprus. Cyprus is an expensive country, by the way. In Cyprus, the professionals are really proffesional. When you go to a spa they make you feel very important because they are aware of the fact that people expect to feel differently after the massage. İn Afroditi Venus, there were two young ladies who didnt pay you any attention and the massage was just ordinary which made no difference. I would not recommend you to try it.
If I go to Santorini again, I will stay at that hotel again because the location is prefect. It is just behind the Kamari Beach where there is life. If you want a quiet night, you can easily have it in or around the hotel. Or if you want adrenalin, you can just walk to the beach which is 3 minute walk away. Fira is about 8 km away from the hotel and it is a good change to take a taxi and go to Fira. So, yes I recommned you this hotel...

I booked the Afroditi Venus on the basis of reviews and looking at the website. When I arrived at the hotel I was told that it was overbooked and I would be staying in Reflexions, their sister hotel further down the street. Reflexions is a tired, outdated and very basic in relation to the Afroditi Venus. I complained and was repeatedly told I had been given a very nice room (big does not equal nice). There was a strong smell of sewage outside the room. There was no view or balcony. There was mould in the bathroom. I would hardly give it a 3*. The pool was tiny and deserted. Breakfast, when eventually I tracked it down, was covered in flies.

If you are booking at the Afroditi Venus, be aware that you may end up not getting what you expect. I certainly would not recommend it.

We have stayed as a couple in Afroditi Venus for 11 days during other half of September.

The hotel and our room were spotless. All the stuff were very helpful, unobtrusive and hardworking.

The room - spacious and clean, contemporary furnished and with double bed that we found extremely comfortable. There was more than enough wardrobe space. Our towels were changed daily and our room was cleaned daily. We loved our cleaning lady, she was so polite and openhearted. We have had a pool view room and a terrace with very beautiful Bougainvillea flowers on one side.

Food - We have received a bottle of very good white wine and fruits as a gift from hotel. We have stayed on a half board basis and found both breakfast and dinner to be a delight, modestly said. Thumbs up for the chefs! Besides main courses (about 10 of them + ~10 salads) we could choose from usually 4 desserts and a variety of fruits. Being gourmets we found ourselves often in a classical curse of choice! :)

We had free: wifi access, safe, AC, mini bar fridge and sunbeds (both around hotel pool and on the beach).

We must admit we have found people to be very fond of pool area, but being fond of nature and sea, we enjoyed the seaside. On the beach were enough sunbeds and we enjoyed both the view and the sea. The pebbles on the beach are a bit tough/rough, but for a reasonable price in one of the stores near the beach the sandals could be bought.

We loved the promenade for nice walks. And on the sides of it there are many cafes and restaurants to choose from. We liked Oxygen and restaurant Mythos.

Santorini is one of those places that offer a lot: wonderful and unique nature and history.

We have visited the volcano (Nea Kameni), bathed in hot springs, visited Thirassia, Thira (capital) and seen sunset in Oia. We absolutely enjoyed wine tasting in SantoWines winery. Each of places mentioned has a unique beauty and view of the caldera. If you go to Santorini you must try wines made out of their indigenous wine grapes - Asyrtiko. We were amazed by Ancient Thira (on the cliffs above Kamari ). Unfortunately Akrotiri excavation site shall open the following year, but we could experience some of it on the exhibition in the Museum Of The Prehistoric Thira which is located on the entrance to the city near the bus station. You should also try kadaif and baklava in the shop called Manos (just ask anyone in Thira – they should know;)).

City transportation is very good and accurate and usually 1.60 euros for a ride. On the stations a schedule is available and we found it very useful. Car rental (ranging from 25 - 55 euros/day depending on vehicle size/type/renting time) allows for most of the island to be seen in a few days. We also enjoyed visiting different villages and beaches (Monolithos beach among others).

The hotel has met and exceeded our expectations. Santorini is truly a magical island and we have had a time of our lives and this hotel contributed to that feeling.

For the first time we felt sad because we were on return trip home...

An absolute recommendation for staying at "Afroditi Venus" ... we are returning for sure - ASAP :)
