“Beautifully kept resort. Spacious Apartment for a family”

Apartment had everything you need. Lovely Sofa's you just sink into. Plenty of ceiling fans to cool you down day and night. Shower was lovely, not some drippy old thing, as i usually end up with. Including Iron/Ironing Board. Hairdryer, which saves you carrying travel ones. Owners are very helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone. In walking distance to everything you need. The onsite pools are never over crowded due to there being so many of them to choose from. Reception charged 10c to print out boarding passes for return journey, also very helpful. Great restaurants onsite and plenty to choose from within walking distance. Beach was a bit rocky, walk around the corner of the cove to a sandy beach 10 mins can't fault this holiday. Thanks Pat & Agnes for a Brilliant Holiday :)

“Perfect for young family, great apartment, affordable restaurants! A very relaxing stay!”
Reviewed May 27, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Thankyou to the lovely couple Agnes and Jo who own this apartment. They were so patient, answering all manner of questions promptly and are ever so friendly! The apartment was lovely a home from home, very cosy! My daughter ( aged 4) has never slept so well! To be honest we all enjoyed our stay here, but it was my daughter who benefited the most! She was delighted to be part of the buddy's club where she made many friends and had to control her excitement for the mini disco that kicked off at 8.15 every night. It all made for a very happy 4 year old and so in turn a very happy mum and dad! What was lovely was having a baby pool in such close proximity to the apartments, she would be in there while we both took turns watching her from the apartment! The onsite restaurant is recommended ( slightly more expensive than some of the restaurants in town but for convenience and the broad selection available (buffet style) well worth a visit! The onsite staff are all very friendly and happy to help they're always smiling and make such a fuss of the kids! We also enjoyed the lagoon, as you may be aware it is a bit windy I. The resort and so the ma made lagoon was lovely as you were on a beach but was sheltered slightly which was lovely! All in all a very nice stay, I'm sure we will be back again!! A huge thank you!

“Really nice, clean apartment in well run apartment complex”

Really enjoyed our stay and I think this is one of the best apartments in the complex as I saw a few other apartments as friends were also staying there. Ceiling fans were a incredibly welcome!

Complex is about a 10-15min walk to the town square but there are several other really good restaurants closer at only 5-7min wall away.

While place was very well run, with good facilities such as supermarket which was useful and staff were friendly and excellent. Would recommend, particularly out of season when it was a little quieter.

“Excellent Villa On The Sunny Side Of Sands Beach Resort...!!!”
Reviewed August 11, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

My family and I have just returned from another 14 day visit to Sands Beach Resort in Lanzarote. We have stayed at the complex 6 times in the past and find it has everything we need as a family group: Mum, Dad, 6 year old daughter and the Mother in-law. The villa itself is one of the better ones we have stayed in, due to its little extras: Large flat screen tv, newly tiled floors and clean comfortable furniture and bedding, plus the essential ceiling fans in the lounge and bedroom. If you have not been to Sands beach before it is made up of blocks of villas and apartment's with a swimming pool on each, plus a full size Olympic pool that can be used via getting a wrist ban from the on-site sports shop. It will cost you 10 euro deposit for each band, but if you enjoy your lane swimming it is a must! (Cap is also required)
Back to the villa location, Amarilla 9 is on what I would call the sunny side as it has the sun well into the evening as opposed to the other that has the sun in the morning. It all depends on what you like doing? But there is plenty of space to catch the rays around each pool throughout the day.
The Resort Area:
Although sands Beach if very well equipped with eating and drinking, it also has an on-site shop that is well stocked and is open until I believe 11pm? but there are plenty of places within a short walk to dine out. Cactus Jacks is a great place to have a laugh, happy hour 8pm until 9.30 with a quiz every night plus entertainment, and the price is very reasonable. But there are many places along the sea front that all seem to be of a good similar standard.
If you into cycling like myself, there is a cycle shop attached where you can hire some excellent quality cycles at a very reasonable price (Cannondale EVO, 7 days 140 Euro) http://ww.papagayobike.com/en/bike-rental, Lots of hills and plenty of head wind if you turn right out of the hotel..!!
Summary: If your looking for all night clubs and partying? Try Tenerife if not and are wanting a great safe place for the kids to play and swim, some decent food and drink and a chill out in the day with some local nightlife in the evening, you will not go far wrong.

“Thoroughly Enjoyable Stay”

Had the pleasure of staying in this residence for 10 nights. My first rental experience and will not be the last. Had lots of questions for the owners Pat and Agnes along the way which they answered always- patiently. Set within the Sands Beach Resort everything is on your doorstep, with a busy 4 year old this is ideal. The residence itself is spotlessly clean and modern, really comfortable beds and mod cons. A pool is only 10 steps from the door. Flat screen TV and endless new movies were a great late night bonus. Our flight was changed to a later time and both Pat and Agnes really helped us on the day of departure with a later checkout(appreciate this would not always be possible high season) but a lovely gesture just the same. Always a good sign for me is a holiday that leaves you wanting more,we'll this was it and even with some dodgy weather thrown in. Our daughter loved all the activities and renting allows you to use the facilities as often/little as you like. We ( the eternal optimists) are already planning for next year, without hesitation we will be back. Thanks for all your help guys!
