My first time to Fuerteventura (in fact anywhere Spanish!). Great place with amazing sandy beaches and sparkling sea. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
The accommodation was exactly as advertised. A small issue with the kettle tripping the circuit breaker was resolved less than 15 minutes after we reported it.
The swimming pool was wonderful and nicely heated. Unfortunately it isn't open until 10.30 which rules out an early swim but the sea is just a few minutes walk. I would also say the bar at the pool is rather overpriced. We went self catering and ate in most nights. The local restaurants seem very limited in choice and all just a little expensive for what was on offer. The beach had a beach bar .. Aureola .. which is to be avoided. Overcharged us for a revolting sandwich and then made us feel extremely unwelcome after we pointed it out. Had ordered a tuna mayo sandwich at €4.60 (about £4).... it was two small slices of white bread with a very thin layer of filling that for some reason had the crusts removed and been fried!! Tried charging me €5.60 for a "club" sandwich. Two cokes, two sandwiches and some fries cost us over €20!
All in all a lovely relaxing time.More
