This really is a super hotel complex with everything you need on site for a a relaxing holiday. But you need to be aware that it's a 25 minute walk down a hill to the nearest supermarket. It is located on the outskirts of the resort. There is not a local bus stop outside. There is free wifi, but it's limited to 30 minutes per day per device. Alternatively you can pay €3 per day for unlimited access.
Our room was spotlessly clean with a beautiful view. There was a safe in the room but it cost €70 per week. (It would probably be cheaper to buy one locally and throw it away at the end of the stay!)
The pools were fantastic. Food was provided buffet style and was of a good standard.
Overall a fantastic hotel for a relaxing holiday if you like sunbathing by the pool.

Oh well, food, not a good choice for vegetarians! Chips and salad every night so far!
Too many public are allowed into the pool area's.
Very expensive, twice the price than back home!
More to follow! Dissatisfied 50%

The Journey: takes about one hour through very barren countryside. Not in any way picturesque.

The Location: is at the beginning of Costa Calma and is not suitably sited for wheelchair users and visitors who have mobility problems who wish to explore outside of the hotel. There is very little to see in the immediate vicinity i.e. within 1.5 miles.

The Hotel Reception: is very spacious and the staff were very helpful.

The Hotel Room: was well laid out and very clean. The cleaning ladies were very polite and pleasant. The balcony wall comes in 2 forms i.e. closed, which is essentially a wall (probably more suited for young children) and open, which has pillars which allows for a better view. The bathroom sink is quite high as is the side of the bath which makes it difficult for short people to get in the bath/shower. There were 3 English speaking TV channels but the reception was very poor.

The Weather: was excellent.

The Restaurant: was very spacious with a large selection of food on offer but the quality appeared to drop as we got closer to the end of our week's holiday.

The Entertainment: varied from magicians to acrobats, singers, parrot demonstrations etc and was generally good but the following Disco was in the main a disappointment. There was little attempt to determine the music that the audience wanted, So much so, that after the shows, the audience in the main got up and sat outside.

The pool area was nice but the sunbeds were taken up very quickly and the alleged policy of not reserving sunbeds was not policed. The man made beach area was beautiful and well worth a visit.

Summation: If you are happy to stay in the hotel area for the duration of your holiday then this hotel is well worth a visit but if you are looking to walk out of the hotel and try local restaurants and bars, then I would suggest that this is not the place for you.

Stayed for 14 nights and paid to get a good signature hotel, out of 412 rooms only one room (botanic garden) had wifi, so everyone had to cram into this area.
bath/shower dangerous, spoke to several people who had had incidents as gap between getting out was about 12 inch and slippy with no bath/shower mat available, bedding never changed in the time we were there and no cleaning carried out,air con not the best and very loud, on several occasions our door was left open after maid as unless you pushed the door hard to check every time, the room door would not lock, so felt that rooms were insecure . Thomas Cook book in hotel information was inaccurate,as no bus service into town, resort entertainment poor and local town didn't have a lot to offer, wouldn't recommend walking to town as area not lit up enough at night and also not feeling secure, pool area and pool never cleaned in the fortnight we stayed there pool covered in algae and debris at the bottom, seating area littered with cigarettes and plastic cups all of the time. When arrived at hotel all additional charges added for mini golf and seating area at lagoon, 3 euros per person per day. Thomas Cook rep never ventured to (airport or hotel) come and see the very few English in hotel, it took us 2.5 hrs to get to hotel as no information at airport,so make sure you get on the correct coach which should only take 50 minutes to get there, staff also don't talk very good English so had difficulty with reception when inquiring. No disabled amenities in toilet as I spoke to a lady who had had an incident and no one was available to help her. Hotel has wedding receptions booked, very loud and they go on until early hours of the morning which seemed to wake ALL the residents as entertainment for tourist end at 11pm, so fireworks from the event at 3am will disturb you. We found that one of the entertainment staff had got that drunk and started an argument with another member of staff which also woke people up.
Views are outstanding as long as you book a sea view room as other surrounding hotel room areas had no views. I think hotel could do with a revamp especially with WIFI in rooms and more easy access for disabled.

Room Tip: Sea view top floor best room but not always quiet

Stayed for 11 night during September had a lovely sea view on the seventh floor, this hotel has wonderful gardens, pools and a beach lagoon. The restaurant was excellent with plenty of variety every day, if you want a very relaxing holiday this is the place to go. The only disappointment with hotel is location, nearest shop/pub outside hotel was a twenty minute walk away with a steep hill to climb on return.
