Had a week at the Bahamas from 10th October. Weather warm, not always sunny but mainly very pleasant. It was coming to the end of the season so the resort of Playa Den Bossa was quiet. Perfect TUI flights and a speedy 10 minute transfer. Check in was quick although room not ready until 3 pm. Throughout our stay the food was, in our opinion, excellent. Lots of choice and options from the show cooking were immediately available. Lots of fish and meat options and all well cooked. Unusually large choice of deserts. Wines available on self serve basis. Large, clean and modern room with lounge area, dressing area, shower room/bathroom, loads of storage space, a fridge and a large balcony. Side sea view not impressive as we were only on the first floor level, Large pool area with plenty of loungers and a speedy service pool bar with self serve lager, soft drinks and coffees. Bars opened promptly at 10 am and remained open until midnight. Entertainment was very 'make do' most of the time but we have learnt not to expect great things from hotel entertainment especially at the end of the season. Being an adult only hotel, we appreciated the lack of a children's Animacion team. Just prior to our holiday, the Bahamas was downgraded from a TUI Platinum hotel. This did not impact upon our visit at all although we wonder if the hotel will be as good next year. I see from next year's website, you have the option to book B & B, Half Board as well as All Inclusive - hope the food quality doesn't alter with these new arrangements. One or two staff shouldn't be in the hospitality trade but most were very pleasant. Will look at the reviews for next year and unless things have changed, we will plan to go back. Don't really understand the negative reviews but accept that we all like different things and have different expectations of holidays. We enjoyed ours!

Room tip: Need 2nd floor if you want a Sea View

Not a good hotel unless you enjoy karaoke and bingo where the prize is a bottle of the all inclusive awful tasting Cava.

The hotel was basically wrapping up for the season and it was evident, they did not open the Al a carte restaurant, they ran out of beer at the all inclusive pumps twice in one week and on one occasion soft drink. The paid premium bar even ran out of most of the alcohol especially after the hotel gave all inclusive guest a voucher for £50 euros per room to use as compensation for not having the Al a carte restaurant. They seemed to plan giving this out just as the bar was running low on almost all of the alcohol. There was only 1 AI bar open at a time and one person serving so you can imagine the queues. The pool bar lady had the worst attitude of a staff member who interacts with customers. This person acted as if you were and inconvenience whenever you went to her for a drink, so much so I stopped going to the bar on the second day of my weeks stay. This bar stayed open until 6pm then the bar inside the hotel opened.

THE DRINKS ARE NOT WATERED DOWN, but they are very cheap knock offs that have very low volume hence why people think they are watered down. We stayed in a 3 star hotel in Majorca and they serve the same drinks, we check them out and their version of vodka would be about 27% proof rather than 37.5% and this goes for all the basic spirits even their version of Malibu which is about 20%. I sorta get the use of cheap low quality drinks at the 3 star hotel I stayed at but did not expect it at a 4 start or above

Entertainment was a sham, they advertise what it was but instead of the 60's night they decided they like the karaoke so much from the night before that they would do it again, it was not that good trust me. Other than sit in the lobby area where they have the so called entertainment unless they are doing something on the outside stage there was nothing else to do at night at all. I heard people moaning about the music round the pool all day but that is probably because the clientele at this time of year are more suited to something a bit more subdued, the music did not bother me in fact it was the only reminder that you were at a hotel in Ibiza as opposed to a retirement home that happened to have some younger residents.

The food was hit and miss but not as bad as I have read in other reviews, I know people moaned about it being luke warm but it will be if you use the cold plates and not the hot ones, if you walk round with your plate for 5 minutes trying to cram as much on it as you can, or you keep leaving your plate on your table to go and get more food before you have finished what you have. I did not experience having no clean table to sit at either which is also something |I have read in other reviews. In fact one morning we did not find a clean table but as soon as we went to sort out a table for ourselves a staff member came and did it for us, this was not because they were lazy it was because they were busy clearing tables and resetting them so I have no complaints there.

The room was not the best, initially it looks OK but on closer inspection (and I mean by just lifting the toilet seat not using a black light or anything over the top) it was not as clean as it first appeared. Myself and my husband came home with so many bites that we kept waking up with each morning while on holiday it made us feel quite dirty being there. We understand mozzy bites may happen especially in warmer climates but we have been to the Caribbean, Mauritius, Egypt, turkey and never had as many bites from either of these places as we ended up with from this hotel.

I did not go into the pool but it looked clean from afar, the beach was not nice at all it was more like builders sand, we noticed this in San Antonio too. The prices are extortionate in Playa Den Bossa so I would suggest you steer clear of it. There was nothing to do as it more or less shut after the first week in October so you were stuck at the hotel which was boring.

We got a late deal and thank god we did as we discovered there were a lot of people who had paid a lot more than us and on the pretence that it was not only a 4 star hotel but a platinum if booked via Tui or premium if booked via First Choice. When we booked in September via Tui it stated platinum until October 2018, this piece of important information however was too late for those who had booked a lot earlier.

We complained 3 days after we returned home (Saturday) and by Tuesday we had a reply which exceeded our expectation and was to our satisfaction, I can only assume it was because many others complained too.

To sum up we hated it and will never go back, the hotel needs to be steered clear of, STAY AWAY. I cannot believe the day we were leaving people were still arriving for the last week of the hotel being open, not sure what they were going to drink though.

the weather during our stay was bad, but we tried to not let this effect our time. The first day was hot and everyone was around the pool, some in it. After this it rained each day so the 2 outdoor bars were shut and the lobby bar open in replacement. Each night a small group (there were max 30 people staying here) took over the speaker system and hosted their own (loud) karaoke disco. If you didn't enjoy that, you went to your room.

Room was massive, very nice bathroom. Cleaners managed to walk into the room twice while i got changed when the do not disturb sign was on the door handle. (Hence the review title).

Drinks were good, you easily got a double measure in your drink every time

Food was quite poor. 3 pasta types, 3 pizzas, a different meat on the grill each day, chips, rice and vegetarian options were there every night if nothing else. If you were 1st into the restaurant, your pasta might still be warm while you had the 1st mouthful. However the majority of the food was always cold.

Staff were helpful and the TUI rep in hotel was very helpful in letting us know how to get to town, pharmacy, where to eat etc and how much a taxi is.

15 euro taxi to Ibiza town takes around 10 minutes.

We enjoyed ourselves - curiously on our last night around 20 people came into the lobby all filming and filling out paperwork. Possibly some sort of auction??

Anyway, enjoy Your stay :) & Holaaaaa

Me and my partner visited club bahamas last week for a holiday, the weather was great, but the pool was freezing. Food was ok, same things sometimes especially evening meals. Breakfasts were very nice, especially the omelettes which are made to taste by a lovely lady called Carmen. The 2 lady's on the entertainment team, Diana and Lilla were very friendly and work very hard with it just being the two of them. Especially with it being end of season. Our room was gorgeous and we had a lovely view of the beach, only down side I would say was there wasn't any shops near by.

All in all a good holiday
