“Good Value all around”
Reviewed 8 April 2012

A well run hotel in a very central and reasonably quiet location. Clean with excellent staff. some of several years standing. Good food with a good selection. Can not fault the service. After several visits to the Dacil over many years we would not consider any other hotel when visiting Los-Christianos.

Room Tip: High floor with sea and pool view.

We we spent yet another two 4 weeks holidays, one in November & the other in January/Feb.
As always we were superbly looked after & as I have previously stated it is just feels like home from home. There is no doubt that this Hotel is great value for money & we will be returning again later this year.

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the pool are sunnier

We read previous bad reviews on the food, but we found there was good choice and there was always meat or fish cooked in front of you, there was no queing and tables were cleared promptly. The room was basic and always clean with plenty of hot water, the beds were not that comfortable though. The balcony was small, but lovely views of the pool and sea. The entertainment team were very good and very versatile, there was alway something going on. The pool however was very cold. The reception staff were always helpfull. It was near to the front where you could walk easily along the seafront.

We stayed in the Princess Dacil in January and are booked to go back again in October.
The superior rooms are great with fantastic views. We had a minor problem with the toilet cistern but this was repaired within minutes of reporting the fault. Staff are professional and the atmosphere is informal. Our only gripe was that the room did not have a mini fridge.

Room Tip: Go for the superior rooms on the top 3 floors - great views

this hotel is noisy and was wasted by 8 irish males in rangers tops drunk all time. complaints about them swearing- spitting and singing sectarian songs were completely ignored by management.entertainment staff were running round pool and shouting in early hours and could see by hangovers the following days.waited ages on drinks at bar as paying guests were served before all inclusive guests.meals not hot and still in containers from lunch till dinner. water in pool was freezing and fred flintstone was lucky not to be pushed in as hes a pest.will not be back.

Room Tip: i cant imagine how noisy this hotel will be in busy period.wont be back

We stayed at the Princesa Dacil for one week in March 2012.

The hotel staff were very efficient and keen to make your stay an enjoyable one, but they were not too intrusive. We had a couple of requests that were quickly sorted out by the reception staff. There was a duty manager available 24/7 if needed, and the lift system was good, no need to queue.

The hotel itself is one of the older buildings in the area, but had been apparently recently refurbished, and was clean and tidy, but in some areas was showing its age, but had a very good position close to the seafront. It was kept very clean and spotless, with good overall facilities.

The dining options are what you would expect from this class of hotel. The food was from a varied menu, all very well cooked, but lacked a little imagination. All the meals were served buffet style, but there were no queues, except for the slow toasters at breakfast. If you were not all inclusive, the additional cost of drinks water etc was a little steep, with a small bottle of water costing 2.30 euro’s, and local wine at 7 euro’s for a 500ml carafe.

We were lucky to have a superior room, on the top three floors of this 15 floor hotel. These rooms are a lot bigger than the standard room, and have air conditioning, which was switched off in March, so could not confirm how effective it was. The balconies were on the small side, just big enough for a couple of chairs, and little else, but you had an excellent view of the resort. The maid service was excellent, and the rooms were kept very clean and tidy, with sheets and towels changed frequently.

To be honest we can’t comment on the quality of the entertainment, as we were out every night, but it seemed to be the usual bingo, and cabaret style singing in the hotel reception area.

We would be happy to stay here again, and overall it was good value for money.

Room Tip: rooms on the upper floors are bigger, and have much better facilities
