“Perfect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2012

Our third visit, Palacio Blanco is a lovely place to stay and Nick and Lesley perfect hosts. The rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable.Breakfast consists of coffee, cereals, fresh fruit, fresh breads, jams and yummy pastries. Simply faultless, we love it and will return.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautifully decorated, our favourites are the top two rooms.

Nick and Lesley were the perfect hosts, from the moment you arrive your welcomed with a cool relaxing drink and the insight into the local area, from places to eat or to visit, take the local walking tour to see the town. The Hotel is amazing, very quiet with plenty of areas to relax, roof top 'honesty bar' with the day beds, Breakfast was great, from fresh fruit and pastries with nice coffee, great way to start the day. Take a drive out to Torre del Mar or Nerja, our favourite was the beautiful hill top town of Frigiliana, stunning view with a great resturant and nice welcome. Spent the day in Malaga on the return leg to the airport, a must to see with the amazing architecture and plenty of places to relax. Great place to brush up on your Spanish.
Will be back very soon.

Top Tips:

Frigiliana
El Caserio Resturant (Out of door turn right, 200yrds on left) all locals and "great price"
Beach front walk, Torre Del Mar.
La Gamba Dorada fish resturant, Calle de los Pintores Hermanos Clavero,

Room Tip: Room 5 was great but all the rooms were of the same top standard.

We were staying at Hotel Blanco for 3 nights and it was absolutely the best hotel we have stayed at during our trip around Andalusia. We didn't have problems with finding the hotel as the host called us and directed via mobile to our destination. We were welcome very nice by Nick and Lesley. They offered us drink, helped us with our luggage and provided us with maps and information about the best places to see, restaurants etc. The hotel is absolutely beautifully decorated in each detail and has a lovely patio. The room with modern bathroom was clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend Palacio Blanco to anyone who likes charming places with soul.

we stayed here in feb 2012 we have been here twice befor. the hotel is truly lovely, the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean and lovely decor. the rooftop patio is so relaxing with veiws of the old spanish town of velez and mountains. nick and lesley are the owners and are so helpful and put on a lovely breakfast. we carnt say enough about this hotel if you are ever over that way you must try it. there are some very nice tapas bars in the town, in fact just down the road, cheap and true spanish, tasty. as for noise we didnt here a thing at the time we stayed. very close to the coast if like us you fancy doing both, true spanish viilage and seaside brake. we stay in velez for 3 days then move down to benamadena for a few days as well. taxi, car or bus it is easy to travel. carnt wait to go back to palacio blanco. thanks again nick and lesley.

Room Tip: all the rooms are good, but we like the roof top rooms.

We loved this hotel. We had room 1 and it was spacious, beautifully designed (as was the entire place) and extremely comfortable. Lesley and Nick were fabulous hosts and breakfast was available until 11.30, so what more could two weary travellers want. Despite Velez showing signs of being in the teeth of Spains worst recession, Palacio Blanco and the towns proximity to some great tourist spots made it more than worth while. At Nick´s suggestion we visited Nerja and its world famous caves. The latter were literally breathtaking and I would love to return to take in a concert in the large, atmospheric, cavern that is set out as a unique performance venue.

Room Tip: Can´t imagine a bad one, but room 1 on the ground floor was superb The top floor has direct access...

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2011

This is a beautiful hotel. We stayed for five nights in early November. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The owners are friendly and helpful. The town of Velez-Malaga is wonderful! It's the real Spain - not touristy at all. We really enjoyed our stay.

We only had two small complaints (and they had nothing to do with the hotel). First, the street noise was a little loud at times during the night. Second, parking can be a bit difficult. It took us some time, but we were ultimately able to find a spot each night that was within a few blocks of the hotel.

This was my third visit in 12 months and it is like coming home. It was good to see Lesley and Nick and their family (pets included). The welcome is fantastic and as three women visiting together you could not wish for a safer area to be in. The hotel constantly speaks for itself, it is beautiful, clean and well maintained. (Good wishes to Cecilia who helps maintain the standards). I absolutely love this place and will be returning (that's a promise Nick and Lesley, not a threat!) Best wishes to you all, see you soon.
