Interesting tour with many gourmet delights on offer. Weather was average with quite a bit of rain so not the greatest of days

Just to name a few delicious tastes of Sete.....I couldn’t think of a better way to discover this lovely city than through the eyes and stomach of a local, and Nancy is just that person. She guided us through the local market and shops, introducing us to all her favorite vendors and teaching us about the history of Sete and the local customs and foods. It was a wonderful 4 hours. Nancy also didn’t hesitate after the tour when I inquired about a specific vendor to make a special call and take me right to them. Sete and southern France is lucky to have such an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide!

Thank you for taking the time to review my culinary adventure of sunny Sète.
To be honest, if it weren't for the friendly merchants and all of the wonderful food items they have to offer, my tour wouldn't exist. I will definitely share your kind review with them.

Visiting Sete on a cruise, we thought the Gourmet Walking Tour would be a good introduction to the area.
Nancy met us and another couple at the dock gate. We walked towards the town stopping a couple of times to hear a brief history of the area, before going to the indoor market. We tried a good selection of produce in the market before continuing elsewhere to buy Roquefort cheese, bread and wine. The morning ended with a trip to a patisserie for an original recipe cake. Nancy is a charming guide. It was a most enjoyable morning, one we can wholeheartedly recommend.

Nancy is a professional that truly loves her job. I had booked our tour months ahead of time and I am glad because she had 42 other requests she had to turn down. Nancy met us at the port with a driver and an intern Valentine. We learned about the history of Sete and then toured the market. Nancy has a wonderful rapport with many of the vendors and we had the opportunity to try some amazing food. Next, we headed to a unique medieval town called Aigues Mortes and met by another guide to give us a tour of this area. Nancy remained with us and joined us for lunch that she arranged. Also, we had a little free time to explore on our own. Our last stop was at an oyster farm and it was so much fun. Eating fresh oysters from the lagoon and drinking wine - it was divine.
Nancy is a pleasure to be with and is well connected. She can pretty much arrange anything you have in mind. We really wanted to be without hoards of tourist and Nancy delivered. We do not speak French and many of the places we visited- many people did not speak English. Nancy and Valentine were our translators and tried to teach us some French during the day. It was a lovely day and I definitely want to come back and visit again. Don't hesitate - book asap!
