Owner description: Cinnamon Hill's diverse elevations offer a great combination of both links style and inland golf. Feel the cool ocean spray on your cheeks as you play alongside the Caribbean Sea, then hear the wind whistling through the pines as you tee-off on holes 16 and 17, 350 feet above sea-level. On the closing stretch, tight fairways are dotted with treacherous, strategically placed bunkers, inspiring the most competitive player’s best game. This is a test you will enjoy - enchanting panoramas framing your every shot. The Caribbean Sea can be viewed from 17 of the 18 holes and the one hole where it’s absent a majestic waterfall awaits your errant tee shot. The waterfall is the site where they filmed James Bond’s Movie Live and let Die and is only one component of the great history that is on the course. On hole #14 the winter home of country music superstar Johnny and June Cash can be seen from the fairway. As an added enhancement, one of the course’s biggest assets happens to be its expert caddies. Cinnamon Hill caddies are listed among "The Best In The World" by Golfer Magazine. Each caddy is expertly trained and ready to help you improve your game.Come, experience Cinnamon Hill and add your own story to its intriguing history. This challenging par 72 layout which plays just over 6800 yards from the tips has 4 sets of tees that offer a great experience for all levels of players from juniors to seniors.Proud Host of the 2010 LPGA Tour event ‘The MOJO 6”Rated by Golfweek as a Best Tour Courses you can play. Clubhouse, restaurant, greens and view are terrific but the ocean wind gusts make for a challenging round on the links.

We played Cinnamon Hill during a vacation in Jamaica in February 2012. It is a 15-20 minute drive from our resort (Secrets St James). The check in staff in the pro shop were very nice and helpful. They suggested we tee off 15 minutes later to get the "twilight rate" which starts at 10:30 am (I guess to avoid the mid-day sun) and this dropped the fees from $169 US to $129 US for green fees, cart and caddie. We rented clubs and the selection is a bit limited and maybe a bit out of date but no real worries. The course has a number of very pretty holes not only down by the ocean but also inland. A number of the holes are nearby some of the "ruins" of the old sugar refinery/plantation and they are very cool. I would say the fairways and greens are a little less well kept than the nearby White Witch but still generally in good shape and very playable. I thought beforehand this might be a course to lose a lot of balls but that was not the case. This was generally a very enjoyable and beautiful course that will be quite a different experience for most North American golfers and I would make it a "definite" to do if you want to play a round or two in Jamaica.

On a recent trip to Jamaica for my brother's wedding, we stayed at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall and received two rounds of golf with our package. We enjoyed the course - beautiful layout, incredible views, interesting architecture and history, and friendly, courteous staff. On the first day of golf, our caddy (Leroy) was so helpful and enjoyable that we requested him for our second round.
In addition to golfing here twice in a week, I shot my brother's wedding photos at the golf course. The staff was pleasant to deal with, our driver provided many tidbits of interesting history on the course and the ruins, and was incredibly patient as the photo shoot took a couple of hours. As many people have already posted great photos of the course, I have posted wedding photos shot on location.

Best part of staying at the Grand is golfing at this course. Exceptional layout and caddies are great.
