Hotel is located approx 20 min from the airport. This Iberostar resort complex exists of three different hotels the Grand, Suites and Beaches all located on a private beach. There is a small duty free shopping area near by and a free shuttle leaves the hotel every hour.

Upon arriving at this hotel we were greeted with a very warm reception and that didn't stop the whole time we were there. The staff were always friendly and willing to help you out if needed.

Our room was very clean, bed was comfortable and we had a great view of the beach. There were a lot of weddings happening in front of our room with music going, but it never lasted after 11 so it did not disturb anyone wanting to go to bed early.
Really liked having a fridge in the room with water and pop stocked in it. The fridge was restocked every other day. The only complaint I would have with this is the stuff in the fridge was never cold, but reading someone elses review they say we should have opened the door to the cabinet it was in.
The hair dryer supplied in the room was horrible (looks like a vacuum tube) so if you need a hair dryer you may wish to bring a small travel one.

We only ended up eating in the buffet restaurant which was very good with lots of selection. Sometimes I found the food a little cold, but in all it was very good.

Pool and beach area were kept very clean. Lots of seating on the beach with a lot of trees that give a good amount of shady and sunny areas.

In all we had a great trip to Jamaica and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

As a very "seasoned" traveller I have very little to say when I read ridiculous comments/reviews from travellers such as Coco67Sudbury.

Had a little "homework" and "investigation" taken place before booking the Iberostar Rose Hall, you would full well be aware of the three different categories of Iberostar properties.

The Trip Advisor reviews made all of this information clear as would a decent travel agent.

This ranking procedure applies to many, many hotel chains that have one or more properties in the same location and that's why there is a difference in what you pay for your trip.

Really a shame when someone has nothing better to do than write comments such as these, as clearly they have never or seldome travelled before.!!

Oh well...I sure hope this was a lesson learned for the next time these people plan a trip. I can just imagine what they were like for the staff of these hotels to have to deal with.

Glad I wasn't there!

On the positive side - customer service rep at the check-in desk was very nice and gave us the room we had asked for - close to the beach and the restaurants. We liked the property however the rest of the service could be better. It is rated with 3 stars and it is what it deserves. We attended a destination wedding and there were several issues with wedding coordination, but not only because of that I would give it 3 stars - service overall was less than expected and when one of us was scratched or bitten by the stray cat, which was constantly present in the restaurant, staff members advised to get medical attention from the nurse, but they said that the charge would be $30! Not only they did not apologize for having stray cat right in the restaurant, but wanted to charge for the visit to their nurse!
Cleanliness and quality of food was just average. Quality of beverages were on the lower end.

We book at least one trip a year. I wanted to book the Iberostar Suites but my travel agent said don't waste your money as you get to use all the facilities between the suites and the beach resort. That was wrong information we where there only 2 hours and managed to be asked to leave the lobby of the suites as our bands were the wrong color for the suites which we found funny since the SPA is located in the Suites but you have to walk on the street and walk back in through a seperate entrance where the Casino, disco & SPA. You're good enough to spend your money there but don't walk through the lobby. We were also asked to leave the water park & the lazy river as that is only for suite guests & the grand guest not for the lower class people of the beach resort. Iberostar was always one I have recommended in the past but not anymore.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time in writing your review and sharing your comments with us. We are sorry to hear that you felt being treated as lower class people, this was definitely nobodies intention and please accept our sincere apologies for giving you this impression. The Iberostar Rose Hall complex consists of 3 hotels with different access level: Beach guests only have access to the Beach Hotel, Suites guests have access to the Beach and Suites Hotel and Grand guests have access to all 3 properties. Unfortunately you were misinformed before arrival and therefore had different expectations towards the hotel that could not be fulfilled.

Feel free to contact us under (email address) if you wish to discuss your experience further. We hope we will still have the opportunity of welcoming you again.

Really had a great time at the Iberostar Beach. I was celebrating my birthday September 2011 and it was a perfect way to do so. From check-in to check-out the experience was pleasant. The food was great. Especially enjoyed the Buffet Restaurant. The food was fresh, there was a large variety and I feel overall the quality and flavor better than the specialty restaurants. The staff was quite pleasant and friendly. Some of the employees I want to mention by name are: Andre & Carlos at Front Desk; Joshua & Daniela in Guest Services; Paul in the Buffet Restaurant; David in Jambalaya and Charley, chef in Buffet Restaurant. Also met Reneish, Butler at the Grand when we toured there. The only negative was the length of time it took to clean the rooms. We had to call a few times but when we did they would expedite the process. I would highly recommend the hotel

Room Tip: Room 1225 great oceanfront room. Corner room. Great view of beach and infinity pool.

We stayed at the Rose Hall Beach from January 15th-22nd 2012. We selected this resort for our destination wedding and brought 19 of our friends and family with us for the week. I would truly need to nit-pick to find any cons about our choice. We have been to several top ranked resorts in the Caribbean and this one easily tops our list so far.

To start with if you are looking for a destination wedding venue I cannot praise the wedding coordinators here enough. They are organized, friendly, hard-working and just plain nice. These girls were an absolute pleasure to plan with and they made our exactly what we wanted it to be: relaxed, carefree and fun. They think of everything!

The staff were courteous and sociable as we have found most Jamaicans to be on our two visits to the island. The only issue anyone in our group had was that one couple needed to make three phone calls to the front desk to get someone to come repair their safe. Otherwise we had nothing but pleasant interactions with every staff member we encountered.

The food at Iberostar is generally a notch above other all-inclusive resorts. The buffet is noticeably smaller than most resorts but this seems to allow them to focus on quality over quantity. In particular we found the seafood selection and preparation very good and unlike other trips there was always lots of bacon at breakfast time! The a la carte restaurants were a little bit of frustration however. You have to line up in the lobby (for a rather long time) in the morning to make a reservation for that night or the next one or line up in the afternoon to try for a last minute reso. After standing in line for close to an hour we were told that all the restaurants were booked for the week except for a few slots at 9pm. While I don't mind eating late this was not the best time to go as between 9:30 and 10:00 they start to take away the dessert buffet so you have run and grab dessert whether you're ready for it or not or miss out. The Japanese restaurant was the standard Tapenyaki show with stir-fry, rice, etc. The chefs were enthusiastic and made the evening pass quickly. The Cajun restaurant was a little better for food, it had a nice selection and the coconut shrimp on the appetizer buffet was the best thing we tasted all week! The open-air steakhouse (where we had our wedding dinner) was by far the best though. Out of 21 people only one of us had a very slightly over-done steak. They served us quickly which was very impressive for a group that size. Delicious! The steak house is also a secondary buffet during the day. They serve almost everything the main buffet does for breakfast (including an omelet station) and have a casual bbq style lunch and snack selection until dinner time.

As for entertainment sadly we can't comment on most of it as the wedding occupied one evening and traveling in such a big group meant we spent alot of time just socializing with each other. They seem to have your typical shows every evening of the week in the main theatre. There is also a sports bar/music lounge that shows major football/soccer/basketball games and has karaoke occasionally. We did enjoy some great live music in the main lobby a couple of evenings and on Saturday there was a fantastic Jerk bbq on the beach with an amazing steel drum band playing.

The rooms were nice and very clean. We were upgraded to an oceanview suite which was a nice surprise. Standard resort style rooms and suites but the best feature was the rainfall style shower heads in the shower. The beds were comfortable enough and there were lots of extra pillows in the closet.

The beach was just the right size for the resort and even though there is only one pool (which is sort of divided into 2 sections by a walkway) it never felt crowded. There are usually only 2 bartenders at the pool/swim up bar which can make the wait a little long but if you go down the short stairway to the beach bar there was never anyone there and also there are girls walking around the pool taking drink orders and they take particularly good care of the larger groups. Excursions vary from resort to resort of course but I will say that we highly recommend the Dreamer Catamaran cruise. It was the BEST time we had all week (besides our wedding of course)

In a nutshell we will definitely go back.

Room Tip: If your room isn't ready at check-in time don't be afraid to ask for an upgrade, they will u...

Dear Guest,

It is our pleasure to know that you have enjoyed your vacation with us and a special thank you for sharing your wedding story. We are delighted to hear that this was a very pleasant experience for you, which illustrates our main desire and goal towards which we aim all our efforts–to ensure the unforgettable time throughout the entire Iberostar experience.

Your guaranteed dinners allow for reservations in the restaurants; there are no guarantees on time. Due to the size of the restaurants, and the need to provide our 5 star services we have a specific number of persons for each dining time, with considerations made for persons to dine after. We are glad to know that you enjoyed the quality of food and service provided in the restaurants and hope we will have the opportunity of welcoming you back in the near future.

We just got home last night from our trip to the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Resort and we are still smiling!
You definately pay a little extra to stay here than most All-Inclusives in Jamaica but in our opinion the rooms, service and overall quality is worth every cent!
We travelled with another couple (who has just reviewed before us) and we all agreed.
The rooms are clean, modern and for a small daily tip your fridge is well stocked and extra little touches made that always bring a smile.
The staff of this resort make the stay exceptional! Big shout out and hug to Maria who made a point to say hello everyday and even joined us for lunch. The bartenders are a blast and can make a small swim to the bar well worth it and longer than you thought! lol!
The non motorised motor sports are included with your stay and all of the equipment is modern and safe. The Dive shop is steps away and will help with excursions which can be booked here cheaper than at your tour reps desk and for a 10% discount if you pay in any foreign currency (cash) Captain Dave is great and made all of our water excursions fun and safe. The Luminous Lagoon is a must do!!!!!
I want to thank Dice for helping me by snorkelling to try to find my Ray-Bans that I lost while sailing..... my fault but still he vigourously searched every morning! No luck but a generous reward for trying. Just another example of the exemplary people they employ.
I never judge a vacation solely on the food but really a vegetarian could gain weight at this resort. The food is beyond expectations hands down. The meat is lean, fresh and cooked and presented well. The chefs will get you anything you like if they can, even if it is not offered on that day.
All in all, spend the extra cash to stay here! It is amazing trouble free vacation that will leave a smile on your face for days and years to come. We are going back without hesitation.
Remember, the people in Jamaica depend on tourist tips to survive, tip generously and I dont mean 20 dollars , a few dollars will make make any experience at this resort even better.
Go! you wont regret it!

Room Tip: You dont spend enough time in your room to pay the extra for ocean view and most rooms have some vie...
