Wonderful place with wonderful people. The B&B is beautifully decorated with lovely attention to detail, and is immaculately clean. There was ample choice for breakfast and it was all delicious. We especially loved Helen's homemade brown bread! Helen and all of the staff were so friendly and great fun.

Fairly typical traditional pub with standard food. Were here two nights with excellent, friendly service the first but not so friendly the second (different servers). Still, I'd go back. Not too many tourists is this area so definitely a local clientele. Nice atmosphere.

Stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting local attractions in the area. The location was a great base for us whilst visiting historic sites/woodland walking areas. The welcome from the staff member was excellent as well as the staff serving in the restaurant. The food was pleasant with the exception of the red/black pudding served as part of the full hot breakfast which we disliked and not black pudding as we know and didn't order it again. The room we had was for three people which made it a great space with the overall cleanliness very good. In relation to the room we had no view as all we seen was the side of the building next to us which we took as the restaurant adjoining the B & B. In addition to this we were kept awake with a noise coming from the building next to us every evening/early morning for some time. I would also suggest that they need to invest in a new duvet/pillows as I think they were in need of renewal but overall we enjoyed out stay and the village was really nice.

Just what we needed after a long day walking in the sun. Cozy room with a comfy bed and a lovely pub with cold beer

The breakfast was amazingly generous with an exceptional choice.

Try the bakewell sponge at dinner :)

We cannot speak highly enough of how amazingly friendly, enthusiastic and genuine the staff were at Jacob's Well. Our room was lovely with a beautiful view, the bed was big and comfortable. Breakfasts were generous even for the vegetarian option. The team at Jacob's Well made our visit to Rathdrum charming and memorable.

The only area of improvement could be to have tea and coffee in each room, guests are provided with complimentary tea and coffee but must prepare this in a communal kitchen. Although the kitchen is in the direct vicinity of the rooms, it would be more convenient if each room had their own facilities.

Room Tip: Room at the end of the passage has a lovely view. Pleasantly surprised that you cannot hear any of the noise generated from the pub below.
