Well this was part of a tour advised by staff from hemingways. Did not let down one bit. The sunset boat ride.. The samosas.. The people. Words cannot simply explain the amazing nature of this place

Great seafood at a budget. It’s a community establishment and they try their best to accommodate all.

Getting to the eating area may prove challenging to some as the wooden walkway is unstable plus there are huge spiders and webs along the way ...so if you are squeamish be aware

Spectacular landscapes, easy to be reached from Watamu, were we were staying, with a Tuktuk. We went then for dinner to Crab Shack, perfect ending of day!

Fabulous adventure. First the 260m board walk through the mangroves, out to the awaiting canoes. Followed by canoeing in a dug out canoe. Our canoe guide steered using one long pole. Saw a frog fish or two! Learned about the local environment. Excellent spot to see the sun set. Some local produce and well priced jewellery to buy at the end. The board walk was needing a little attention - but was doable and great fun. Take shoes that can get wet or hire them.

Great adventure. The board walk is exciting bit alittle scary. You get to go to the island Adam and Eve lived!kid you not. Also, all the proceeds go to educating children in the local community.

We took a canoe trip to an island in the Creek. Lots of interesting wildlife to see. We went from the Crab Shack where everyone was very friendly.

Once in Watamu, make sure you visit Mida and plan for a boat ride. I had an incredible time with my partner and other guests on board. Shutu, the Activity head from Hemingways facilitated bookings. We had cocktails and sea food bitings since on board and till the end of the ride. The mida creek is surounded by mangroves and water bodies and the fact that the sunset views hits you on the face, makes the trip memorable and never forgetting.
A must visit when in Watamu.

This place is a must see when you visit Watamu. Its amazing with all its wilderness and beauty. You can watch the birds here and see the most amazing sunset ever. We came here with our tour guide Joseph from Ebano Safari (by recommendation) and we are not sorry. he is very experienced and he knows a lot to tell you about this place, so don't be afraid and call him to organize your tours in Watamu / Malindi area ( +254 718 183685) he uses whats app for communication. They can organize all your tours and safari for excellent price.

It's a must to see Mida creek , if you drive on the coastal road, do not pass by. Stop. Sleep at Mida Eco lodge : nice villa's in local style. Not so expensive. Will definately go back there.
