First time in Ireland and such a wonderful experience. We spent three days in this lovely place, but really wanted to stay much longer. First surprise - very warm welcome from Eileen and Robert, cup of tea, biscuits, a log fire...it felt great! They also provided us with lots of useful information about the area, as well as leaving many brochures and books of Beara peninsula. The location of a cottage is perfect, allows you to walk or drive to many beautiful places, even when the weather is not perfect. The cottage is well equipped, spacious, sunny and comfortable. Thank you Eileen and thank you Robert. You made our stay difficult to forget, so we hope to came back.

“best time ever in ireland”
Reviewed January 14, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

It was a last minute decision to spend our winter break in cummers cottage and it worth every single mile we didi to get there. At first I didnt believe my eyes the bearra scenery, specially (for me) the hyle pass, is just breathtaking. I have no words to describe eileen and robert reception is just over the top, make you want to stay forever! The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need, living room and bedroom are just really cosy. Plenty walks, drives and hikink routes gardens, parks and forest to explore and eileen provide you with a lot of extra information. Lovely place, lovely people I will be back for sure.

“Great for a quiet getaway”
Reviewed October 12, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

After getting a bit lost, Eileen was there to great us with a cup of tea and the fire in the kitchen already lit. She showed us around and gave us a great idea of what kind of things we could do in the area. The cottage itself is absolutely lovely, big enough with everything you need including a kitchen stocked with the basics so we were well able to cook dinner. Plenty of firewood was left, and during a powercut on one of the nights, Eileen and Robert were over with candles and torches for us til it came back on. The surrounding area is beautiful and well worth getting up early to see the sunrise over the mountains. The Ring of Beara is definitely worth a visit.
We had no reception or mobile internet at the cottage, which was perfect for us as we wanted to disconnect for the 3 nights, but may be an issue for others.
Everything was clean and well kept, and the warm welcome and helpfulness of the owners was a great way to start a relaxing break. We'll definitely be back soon!

We had lovely time on the baera peninsula. The welcome of eileen was great and she attended us on the various things we could do while staying there, The cottage is very nice, especially to sit next to the log fire at night.
