We stayed in a suite with our two small children: there was plenty of room, and the suite came with a little terrace where we had dinner one evening, enjoying the views over the gorgeous surrounding hills. The location of La Dimora is very hard to beat, minutes from Saint-Florent and really close to a lot of the highlights of Cap Corse, and the refurbished farmhouse buildings are simply gorgeous. So is the swimming pool, where we came to unwind in the afternoons after days of visits and beach.
The service is quite good: our requests were dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner, although the staff is quite hard to find (maybe hire more staff during high season?).
Like other guests, I was shocked by the cost of what is, essentially, a buffet continental breakfast where you will find stale-ish bread and cereals, as well as some past-their-prime fruit... if you want a cooked breakfast you have to order, but then you must be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes; similarly when the filter coffee runs out, well then wait again you must. With just one waiter helping everyone out, it's no surprise he struggles, but still, it takes away from the positive experience. That said, we soon discoverd you can eat delicious french breakfasts at most restaurants in Saint-Florent, for under 10 Euros...

Room tip: Suites are very spatious and can easily accomodate a family of 4.

My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights in June.
We stayed in a suite (Altesa).
From the moment we arrived we felt at home.
We were greeted by the lovely Heidi who made us fell very welcome. She was full of tips about the local area and advised us of some great restaurants to eat at.
All of the other staff including the owner were also lovely.
We ate at the hotel on our first night.
The food was excellent. A little pricey maybe for some but very nice.
The ham with truffle was particularly tasty.
Out suite was huge! Just what you need for a week away. The shower was great and if you want a jacuzzi bath, book this room ..!!
Robes and slippers were provided and the room was kept very clean by the cleaners.
Also, the shower and bath products were excellent.
The pool area was lovely, very chilled out. Lying there looking up at the occasional hawk circling above on the thermals was very relaxing.
Our only minor but slightly annoying gripe was the 23 euros per person for breakfast.
All in need in the morning is a bowl of cereal some coffee and maybe a croissant as I’m away, but I’m really not happy to pay that when a room is over £400 per night.
Having just arrived at another hotel which charges even more for breakfast I think it is quite common here but i do still think it is too much. The hotel we have already booked here for a return in September has breakfast included.
Anyway, apart from the breakfast issue this was an amazing hotel that we would recommend to anyone. Just make the most of the breakfast !

Enjoyed our stay so much last time, we returned. Really is fabulous - quiet, calm & totally chilled.

Lovely staff. Rooms fantastic - really can't fault it. Ground floor room opening on to pool is pretty essential.

Very convenient for Bastia airport & lovely St Florent just down the road.

The place is beautiful, encraved in a fantastic ladscaping. The service is gentle and nice. The resturant serves a good dinner (nothing especial). The wine list is very limited and only local wines are available, most of them very simple and poor.
WiFi signal is very poor in almost all areas of the hotel.
The problem is to get there. Narrow and dangerours roads with thousands curves.

Absolutely loved it here - probably one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in. Huge amount of thought gone into interior design - rustic tiles, wooden beams in our room etc - it really was lovely.

Very nice evening meal.

It's very chilled essentially- wished we'd had longer here.
