This is a lovely bnb set in the centre of Oletta with fabulous views across the valley. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated with useful amenities including toiletries and a drinks tray. We had a comfortable sleep and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of the church bells. Breakfast is taken on the terrace which is a nice spot however we were slightly disappointed that it only included croissants and bread (which we found a little dry) and it would have been nice to have more choice - fresh fruit, yoghurt, tartines etc. That said, the homemade jams were delicious.
Our only other mini grumble was that one day our room was not serviced so we came home to find the bin full and the bed unmade which for €90 a night was disappointing, however this may have been an oversight.
We would still recommend escaping the coastal crowds and staying in the charming village of Oletta and U Lampione is a great spot.
Tip: Make sure that you take mosquito repellant as we got badly bitten on the first night - apparently they are abundant across the region and they are silent but having been bitten 8 times and left with huge bites, somewhat deadly!More
