Description: Enjoy superb food in our contemporary restaurant; a relaxing night’s sleep in our luxury accommodation and a welcoming drink in our dog friendly bar area - all can be found under one roof at the White House! Just off the A55 expressway (jct. 28/29), the White House is easily accessible and situated in Rhuallt, a quiet North Wales village within an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ in Denbighshire. As well the large selection of dishes available on our daily menu (which include a large number of vegetarian and gluten free options); we also serve our Lunch Specials, Early Doors and on Friday and Saturday evenings we also serve our Chefs Specials menu which is created by our head chef each week. All of our dishes are designed and created from scratch, using the freshest of ingredients (local sourced were possible), by our talented team of chefs!

Came here mid week with my partner for an early evening meal. Was surprised at how reasonable the prices of the food and drink were. I had gammon which was cooked perfectly and my partner had prawn pasta which he enjoyed too. Only reason that they lose 1 star from us is because none of the staff looked like they wanted to be there. No friendly smiley service at all from any of the staff we spoke to. But the service was very quick but it was a very quiet evening in the restaurant.

We visited as a family of 30 after a funeral, the restaurant is only nice and clean, with a play area for children.

Food was excellent, I had a burger from the lunch time menu, one word... WOW. A very nice burger the meat was very nice and tasty.

Highly recommend.

Thank Liam M

We droped off for lunch whilst walking Offa's Dyke & had an excellent & relaxing lunch. Everything about it was superb, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, they were more than willing to amend dishes from those described on the menu, the food was freshly cooked but we didn't have to wait long & the whole place was spotlessly clean. Well worth the few hundred yards detour from the path. We set of with renewed energy to walk another 6 miles!

I've eaten here twice now in the last few months. On both occasions my food has been excellent. Not your standard fare. We've had some very creative dishes and they have always been very good. Our favourites are the lamb rump and the hake with sweet potato, broad beans and a wonderful sauce. The lemon desert is also very good. But, the service is always patchy. When you have their attention it's good, friendly and helpful. The trick is to get their attention. For example, we were sat at the table with a menu and given a pitcher of water. Then we waited ages to see anyone. No information was offered. No "do you want a wine list ?" No "todays pie of the day is" No "todays fish of the day is" No "todays specials are" Each of these things was extracted from the waiting staff who always answered with a smile - odd ? Ordering a second bottle of wine was also a challenge - we almost gave up. Getting the bill at the end of the night - eventually I went to the bar to pay since no-one seemed to want our money. Would I go again ? Yes. The food is really good. Despite the service.

The menu is very extensive with a special deal before 1830h (two courses). The range of the menu is very extensive and the food is well presented. Helpings are very good. The white bait can be recommended as a starteras can be the haddock and chips. The duck noodles was very non-descript without appropriate texture; should have been fresher and less of a soggy mass. Reasonable value.
