This has truly been one of the most fantastic and comfortable stays for us. We were greeted super friendly and received a complementary update to a beautiful suite overlooking the pool. All staff were so friendly and capable and at the same time genuinely interested and authentic. You feel right at ease. When we needed to go to hospital with our son, the staff did everything in their power to make it still a pleasant evening for us. The room was really great and has all that you need (the only thing would be a coffee machine). The facilities are even better where you feel being in a spa. The restaurant serves such great food that we did not feel any need to go out. Also when we had to be flexible with our son, they did everything to accommodate us so we had a nice dinner. We are definitely returning and can’t wait for our next stay!!!

Comfort, discrete service , excellent cuisine , charming setting truly Romantik. Heinz consummate knowledgeable professional and Barbara genuine host . Chef is indeed talented . Roses abound in eatery nook .

We visited with 2 friends for a cycling holiday. Charming hotel, very friendly, helpful staff. Electric bikes free to use and of top quality. Lovely pool area. Garden terrace for eating was beautiful serving delicious food with excellent service. Would return in a flash!

Everything you would expect from a small mountain hotel - cosy, great service, only thing missing (to my surprise) was an open fire. Beautiful wooden decorations and great breakfast buffet, with make your own juices. Not surprising place always packed

My wife & I stayed her for the 2nd time for a week in May.We had half board and a room over looking the town of Merano in a comfort room with balcony.There is a walk in shower and a lift so access was no problem.The area of Sudtirol is outstanding,so much to see and do.Our hosts and the staff are excellent,the food wonderful,nothing is too much trouble and the hotels rooms are light and airy.There are also excellent spa facilities in the hotel and many walks from outside the door or shopping and sightseeing 10 mins away in lovely Merano.
Room tip: all rooms are excellent,maybe a room on the side or back away from the road if a light sleeper.

This place grows on you, well at least it has for us. The wonderful owners and staff make sure that you feel like an honored guest. They treat you warmly from the start and it never stops. In fact, the hospitality is what attracts us back again and again. The food is amazing, and if you appreciate fine dining you won't be disappointed. Also, there is a lot of history with the Oberwirt, over 500 years. If you are looking to relax and de-stress, this is a great choice. Enjoy!
