One word: Exceptional !

We had the most amazing stay in Il Giardino Marling. The first thing that strikes your eye when you enter the domain, located slightly uphill in neighbor town Marlingo, is the panoramic view over Merano’s valley. We enjoyed it from our bigger-than-you-wish-for room when we woke up (room needs to be on the right side of the building), at breakfast and even more during dinner when the sun sets and buildings light up.

Unless we often went out for hiking, visiting Merano’s city center or exploring the area in general, this hotel literally has every possible facility you need for a luxurious stay: a rooftop infinity pool & jacuzzi (again an amazing view!), over 5 different saunas (I think), a tennis court,… And not to mention, an extensive card of classy and tasteful spirits & wines!

But what really made the difference for us were the extremely welcoming and warm-hearted people, and especially our waitress Elisabeth. Every evening she treated us in the most elegant and joyful way possible. She made our stay exceptional!

There are no perfect hotels..I have news for you, I found one.. everything 10 out of 10.. incredible food and service..the staff is smiling and enjoys their job...we where pampered during our stay, beautiful wellness with the best massage ever....gardens, stunning view, 2 pools, charming owner who walks all day around making sure everyone is happy...so when you need to relax and charge the batteries THIS IS THE PLACE!

This was our second stay at the hotel and it was definitely as good as our first one. The hotel is wonderful with helpful staff, amazing food and beautiful large rooms. Merano is a very pretty town, great for shopping and eating. There are wonderful cycle rides in the area with views of the mountains and river, as well as lovely walks. A great week's holiday!
