Was across for the Slovakia v Scotland world cup qualifier, and from looking at photos of the stadium I imagined Trvana to be a lot more bigger and busissier that it turned out to be.... it is actually more of a sleeping large town-small city, yet the football stadium would but most the stadiums in the top leagues of England and Scotland to shame.

Has that modern German stadium feel to it, with all the luxuries added to make it enjoyable for the fans (even has free wi-fi!).

Certainly worth checking out on the ground hoppers circuit.

The stadium itself is modern and a nice little venue. Unfortunately I was supporting Scotland there when we got badly beaten!

The city arena is a smart new stadium just a stroll from the city centre itself, views from the stands were good but slightly interrupted by the netting and associated steel work holding it in place behind the goals(as is common place in stadiums across Europe nowadays)

In almost a center of Trnava there is this new shopping center. There are a lot of interesting shops, bars, restaurants. But dont come here if you are on budget. Average coffee or beer is more expensive then in center of Trnava. You can spend a whole day here, from coffee bars, cinemas to clothes stores and tech stores.

Since the month of our visit to Trnava was August and considering the high temperature, after the tour of the city,we decided to go cool down in city arena. My 3 star rating is only going towards the choice of shops in the center, they are very modest and not fashion stops for sure. But the city arena itself is very nice.Food places and caffees are definitelly better than the shops.Together with the city arena is the stadium of local football club, and on the day of our visit was the match going on,so it definitelly made the atmosphere..
