Booked through trip advisor. Hosts were very welcoming. The view was exceptional and a sign of the food to come. We had the antipasti to start, which was excellent. A particular highlight was the thick slices of salami. To follow we had the risotto and the pork 3 ways. Both were excellent. I would thoroughly recommend

Was waiting for the dishes for more than 1 hour. And when it finally came it wasn't at the same time.

Dear Daniel,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
The other night, when you were here, was unusual busy at one point of the evening. Please accept our sincere apologies for the wait. Believe me we do our best to serve everyone as quickly as possible, and to serve everyone at the table at the same time – but when families like you order a big mixture all together of antipasti, primi, secondi, contorni ecc it does naturally take longer to prepare your dishes – especially since we prepare everything freshly at the moment.
Regarding the size of the portions, the Italian cuisine is structured according to the Italian tradition of eating at least a 2-course meal – so if you would follow the tradition of the country you are visiting, you would probably understand yourself that the size of the dishes make sence… furthermore, just a couple of weeks ago an Italian family complained here on Tripadvisor that our portions are too big...

Very good Italian food! A good balance between price and quality. Friendly and excellent speaking! We would like to visit a second time.

Nice food with a twist. A very Italian experience, with lots of locals patronising this on a Saturday night. Warm and welcoming with a waitress with good language skills and just the right side of attentive. Really enjoyed our evening. The wine was not bad - which at that price (4 euros for a half litre) was a heck of an achievement..

We enjoyed our dinner outside on the terras of Il Gusto & il Tatto. The staff is very friendly and the view on the terras is great.

The food is very fresh and well prepared. Nothing special, lots of meat on the menu, no fish. We enjoyed it very much! As said before, no special dishes, but everything is perfect. For a good meal a great place, but nothing fancy. And of course there is nothing wrong with local food.

So if you around Castelfiorentina, then enjoy the local food of this restaurant.

Thank Rainer S
