Finding the property was not that easy, although we located it on Google Maps and used that to help us. Our SatNav did not accept Rua Barrabraz.
When we arrived, we were given a very warm welcome by Lars and Orsa. There were several cooking requisites provided (possibly left by previous guests) - olive oil, salt, pepper. We were also left a couple of bottles of wine from the vineyard owned by our hosts.
The flat was simple but had everything we needed. It was clean and well looked-after. We struggled a bit with how the shower worked but Lars was on hand to explain all. We also struggled with the gas oven but, as we didn't really need it, did not try to find out how it worked! The bed was comfortable and the washing facilities were fine.
A slight negative - there was no comfortable chair/settee for relaxing in the evening and no tv, both of which might have been of use at the end of September, when it's a bit chilly to sit outside, although I doubt you would need them during July or August. The swimming pool area is well-maintained and of a reasonable size. It is shared but when we went there we were alone!
There are interesting places to visit all around but the activity we enjoyed the most was helping with picking the grapes from Lars' vineyard and, indeed with one of his friends at the nearby Cortem vineyard.
There is a decent supermarket a few minutes away - Pingo Doce - that sells pretty well everything you may need, including petrol.
All in all, we had a most enjoyable week here. Lars and Orsa were really friendly and helpful and the flat was well-located, rural and in good condition.
