This is a lovely quite cottage! We stayed over new year and I wouldn't of wanted to be anywhere else, we stayed with our 3 children ages 10, 7 & 3 and they all enjoyed it too, staying in playing board games or playing the wii that's in the bedroom, they also loved the hot tub and found it hard to get them to come out!! We decided to go for a walk along the canal and take the foot path signs to the nearest village but some how went wrong & it took 3 hours and we didn't find it but did have a nice walk! The cottage itself is beautiful and the beds are so comfy! The bath is lovely and has a powerful shower. The kitchen amenities are brilliant and I loved cooking in there once I worked out the hob! The washer/dryer and dishwasher were a plus and used plenty!! I really can't fault the property at all and the owner is lovely & just let's you get on with it but is there if you need him. He brought us a lovely chocolate cake, apple juice & cider from the local farm shop which were all delicious! I would Definatly stay here again and hope to book for next New Year's Eve too. The only thing I would say is that the cleaner could possibly do a little bit of a better job of the cobwebs & there was quite a few spiders but I can't fault that as we were in the country in a converted barn! Also the heating and under floor heating doesn't take long to warm up the whole place so much so we didn't even use the log fire!! Would recommend this cottage to any age and any time of year, it has everything you need!!

“Wonderful Peaceful with all the Amenities you need”
Reviewed September 28, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

The accommodation is a very good standard very comfy beds and furniture the hot tub is wonderful which is kept to a very high standard. Lovely scenery the owners couldn't be more helpful but not in the least bit intrusive we made a lot of use of the Great Western Canal which is just at the bottom of the lane which is lovely to walk along (nice when you don't want to get the car out ) There is such a lot in the area to see and do that you will be lost for choice. I would recommend this holiday for couples or families you will not be disappointed.

Everything was perfect! The Byre was a lovely place to stay, clean and spacious and fantastic garden and hot tub. If you are looking for peace and quiet to relax then this is the place to go, the scenery was great and having a very large garden was perfect for us with three children and a dog. The surrounding areas are great for shopping or eating out with plenty of choice and lots of fresh produce from local farm shops. We will be returning soon!

“Oasis of peace and Tranquility”
Reviewed August 21, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

I am must say i am writing the same comments as the other comments made, it was a fantastic place in a perfect location.
The Byre was very clean modern and faultless, the location, quiet, relaxing , (even with 2 children) and great views.
The hot tub was a much needed bonus after horse riding and Coasteering. A perfect place and Tim who owns it made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble and with some nice surprises when we arrived in the way of cider and cake. mmm

All in all a great place to go and would recommend anyone to go to relax and chill out.

“The perfect country escape”
Reviewed September 28, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We visited The Byre for a 4 night mid--week break. The cottage is furnished to an incredible standard and is very cozy. The hot tub is exactly what is needed with fantastic views over the countryside.
We was made to feel very welcome and enjoyed the bottles of local cider that was waiting for us.

I highly recommend visiting the Prince of Wales pub in Holcombe, is about 20 min walk and food is incredible and staff very welcoming.

We will hopefully be booking a return visit.
