We had a very enjoyable three night break in this very comfortable house. The house is full of character and in a good location for local bars and restaurants.. The views from the windows are spectacular and we couldn't believe how the time flew passed while we looked out over the lough and watched the ferry come and go.
We spent the recent Bank Holiday weekend at Harbour View, the house is located on the Quay, enjoying fabulous views of Strangford Lough, and a central location to the Village ; it has bags of character, and is really well presented with all modern amenities. The family house also has a large garden, and elevated patio, with sea views and all day sunshine! Strangford offers 365 day tourism, with something for everyone; whether you sail, hike, bike, bird watch, fish, canoe, swim, dive, cook, eat, and drink!!

We loved our stay at Harbour View. The house, with its period touches, (especially the second sitting-room and the "secret bedroom") was a delight. Beautiful view of the Lough from ground and first-floor sitting rooms. Spacious with good room for a larger group. The kitchen was modern and well-appointed and the bedrooms light and airy.
2 minutes at most to the ferry to Portaferry, we could watch the ferry come in and get ready to leave then. Strangford/Portaferry is a wonderful holiday destination (for those that don't know it) and all you need in the way of good restaurants and supermarkets within a few minutes walk. Wonderful walks by the way, from Strangford, and a very informative Tourist Information centre just where the ferry docks in Portaferry. We will definitely stay here again.
We stayed in the post Christmas and into new year period. The house has lots of character and roomy. It was winter and wet so we didn't make use of the walled garden but it would be great in summer. And it being winter it took a while to get the house warmed up but once the two fires got going it was very cosy. Shower a little tempramental but there is also a bath. Nice touch for landlady to have put up a Christmas tree and have left a DVD of 'Elf'. Castle Ward fabulous , and Cuan bar/restraunt great - if a little expensive.
