We would recommend this hotel simply for its location situated on the shore of Lake Garda. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a/c, there was also a large bathroom. Two lake facing windows with morning sun rising over the mountains on other side of lake made this a wonderful setting.
Breakfast was excellent, to order, and with everything you would wish for. The tables were set on the waters edge which again made this an idyllic setting.
We did eat at the restaurant on the first night, but was a little disappointed. We felt we were rushed into choosing food and wine and in our opinion the menu was overpriced. We ate out in Gargnano on subsequent evenings, which is a short walk, and discovered numerous restaurants serving similar meals for almost half the price.
Would have been nice if the courtesy bottle of water was replaced each day and tea/coffee facilities were in room.
Generally we would however recommend this hotel and its wonderful location.

Room Tip: We had superior room, which was excellent, but some have balconies which would be ideal.

The hotel and the room was very nice, breakfast service (no buffet) outstanding. We did not like the fact that for dinner the waiter suggested a small portion of shrimp which turned out to be 64€. We thought that was kind of pricy. The same was true other components of the dinner. No one in the hotel ever asked us for an opinion on anything, they did not seem to care. All in all we liked the hotel, but the prices were too high. From that point of view, we do not recommend to go there.

We stayed here for the pontoon & the lakeside views! Those aspects certainly didn't disappoint...and the food was exceptional. We ate there both nights and it was the best food we had all week! One day we hired a boat for the day, which arrived at the jetty - awesome! The downsides are the hotel didn't feel like it was anywhere near a little town so when we left it, we drove to other places. The decor probably wasn't to my taste in the room for the amount we paid. But the views and the food made up for it. And the breakfast....wow!!! The lady who served the breakfast was also soooo lovely. :) it is expensive but a nice hotel in a great location with italian food!

Lovely little hotel with beautiful location in maybe one of the garda lakes prittiest town. The pier with sunbeds was just perfect for a afternoon and morning swim. The room was really nice with a big lovely bathroom and terrasse. Friendly staf. Really god breakfast! We where not eating in the restaurant for dinner but will absolutely reccoment it because of the great location 1 meter from the lake, and a very good meny. We will definetely stay here again!

The highlight of the hotel is the location and the view of the lake, our room 11 was on the top floor with a very impressive view of the lake, mountains and the private pier. Even arriving post sunset in the room was a WOW moment.
The hotel is boutique with an artistic decor. There was no issue checking in late, staff were very friendly and confirming there was no issue with where we parked.
Even though kitchen was closed they were able to offer a cheese and cold meat platter as well as an amazing caprese.
I hired a boat for the next day and being my first time the guy that brought it to the pier waited for me to have breakfast to do the paperwork and go through the procedure which was really appreciated. The restaurant is good, food and wine selection is very good and the service too, one of the waiters remembered my partners birthday!

Overall this was an amazing weekend, I would rate this 4.5 stars. If the following can be improved I think it could be a 5 stars:

-More information on the website about where to park.
- Room make up should be better, the room was not made up like when we first arrived, the free water was not replaced
- tea or coffee making facilities should be provided
- a very limited room service could be provided
- slight unpleasant smell in bathroom on last day
- breakfast is not free and seems overpriced 20 euros per person for eggs and bacon and some bread and coffee
- paying co ordination of boat hire company
- no option to give a little candle for dessert for birthdays this would be a nice touch

The above are minor points and I would recommend this place and if I was back in lake Garde would stay here again!

Stunning situation for a wonderful lunch. Then a fantastic room with a view. Would highly recommend this location for a romantic break.
Please don't bring your children here for lunch and moan that they don't have children's portions. Ever wondered that perhaps your offspring are not wanted in a high class restaurant like this. I certainly wouldn't want my meal spoilt by the noise of anybody's kids next to me!

Dear Sir / Mrs Mkgkiwi,

We thank you very much to have enjoyed a stay by the Hotel Baia d'Oro as well as to have written a review on Trip Advisor which highlights carefully our beautiful and charming hotel where everybody can chill out on our sunny jetty, cradled by the lake waves and watching its shimmering landscape.

The restaurant is one among the most known around the lake, indeed,
we host many clients from several Hotels located away from us, even many miles.
The oustanding maritime Italian cuisine made by our renowned international chef assorted with the best grand-cru Italian wines selection and French champagnes.

All the children are very welcomed in the Hotel and Restaurant too.
We will be glad to host you again and showing you we took care of your sugggestion.

We greet you warmly,
Kindest Regards.

We had lunch at the Baia D'Oro with our family and chose it for its location. The setting is beautiful but unfortunately the service was not. We asked for small portions of food for the children yet they were all given very large helpings and charged for adult meals. We ordered a glass of wine each but they refilled our glasses before even asking us if we would like more and added them to the bill. Finally it took so long to get the bill that we had to go to the reception to ask for it. The food itself was good if a little rich for our taste but in a week of excellent meals out it was by far our worst and most expensive.
