We very much enjoyed our 5 day stay at Apartment Romy with its magnificent views overlooking Lake Como. The apartment was modern, comfortable, beautifully appointed, well equipped and good value for money. It is in reality, just like it is depicted in the photos and matches its description in the advertisement except that it states 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. We understood that 2 bathrooms meant that there would be a shower or bath in each "bathroom", but the upstairs bathroom had a toilet, bidet and basin but no shower or bath. This made it a little awkward with 2 couples sharing, but was great to have a toilet upstairs. The only inconvenience we found being tea drinkers and only occasional coffee drinkers, was the absence of an electric jug or kettle. This meant we had to boil water in a saucepan on the stove to make our tea, but this would not be a problem for those who only drank coffee as there was a coffee making machine. A fan for the upstairs bedroom would make it more comfortable in the hottest months as our stay was in early June and it was already quite warm upstairs. The apartment is well located for travelling to Bellagio and the other villages around the lake district, but a car is essential. We very much appreciated that there were bottles of beer and wine in the fridge on our arrival after travelling a long distance to the apartment and surviving the hair - raising drive from Como. The roads around the area are very narrow, winding and very challenging, with parking being difficult and limited. However this apartment complex has a private car space for each apartment. Francesca the agent was very helpful and spoke excellent English. There was plenty of information in the apartment with suggestions of things to do and see in the area. We would highly recommend this apartment and would stay there again if we had the chance.

We had a great time from the moment we arrived at the apartment. Owners met us. Lots of information about the area. Apartment is convenient to restaurants(Crotto del Misto was great. After dinner, owner showed us his several hundred year old wine cellar)
All of the area was easy to visit by car. Bus to Bellagio was nearby as well.
Would recommend the apartment to anyone visiting the area.

We (2 couples) stayed at Apartment Norma in the first week of October 2008. We phoned Francesca as we neared our destination, and she promptly met us with the key. The apartment is about 7 kilometres from Bellagio, on the main road overlooking Lake Como. You'll need a car if you're staying at the apartment - parking is included. The apartment was pretty much brand new and was very well appointed. It sleeps 4 very comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms (one on main floor & one upstairs), full bath with shower on the main floor, second ensuite bath upstairs. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker & all the necessary pans, dishes, etc. There is even a washer in the main bathroom. There is also a small TV & sofa in the living/dining area.......Italian channels only.

We found the apartment to be more convenient than the the hotel rooms & B&B's we stayed in on the rest of our trip. We had the ability to make ourselves breakfast in the morning and keep some wine, cheese & cold cuts refridgerated for late evening snacks. There are a few very nice restaurants on the road between the apartment and Bellagio that are considerably less expensive than the ones in town.

All in all, a very nice home base for our travels to Bellagio, Lugano, and the area surrounding Lake Como.
