Stayed here for five nights first week of May. As a group of ten we had a variety of rooms, mountauin view, lake view and the villa. Along with a great view of the lake this hotel has a very large comfortable and fabulous breakfast room. The variety for breakfast was varied enough to fit the bill for everyone in the group and the jam and chocolate filled croissants are the best. The ladies at the front desk were very accommodating, helpful and informative. Villa information, bus or ferry schedules and weather updates are just a few of the things they helped me with. This is a family run Hotel where the guests are treated like family. Had a wonderful time.

Amazing place. We stayed there for three nights and it was superb. Views from our room of Lake Como were stunning. Breakfast was delicious and the staff made us feel like family. Loved it and hope to be back.

Lezzeno is a charming village between Bellagio and Como on the shores of Lake Como. The Hotel Villa Aurora is in two sections with the main traditional building set back behind the restaurant and the newer Villa absolutely on the shore of the lake. We stayed one night in the traditional main building and found it to be elegantly furnished with high quality bedding, a small but well appointed bathroom (what a loo with a view!), lots of hot water and a perfectly composed view from the 2 seat balcony. At this stage of our trip we were quite tired so decided not to do our usual extensive tripping around but parked the car (free) and apart from a couple of excursions on the local bus and short walks decided to upgrade our room into a Villa Junior Suite which had a sitting area in front of full length balcony windows. We spent the afternoons sitting with local wine and cheese that we had bought on our morning excursions. The weather had turned suddenly very cold and there was plenty of snow on the mountains, so gazing at the view from the comfort of the superior quality armchairs was heaven. The suite was exquisitely decorated and had a large bathroom with top quality fittings. Breakfast each morning was extensive with eggs, cheeses, fruit, cereals, cakes and cold meat. Each night we ate in the hotel restaurant where you could choose delicious dishes from either the full menu or the pizza menu. The staff and owners were helpful and cheerful. April is still the cool off season and would suit travelers who are wanting a calm and refreshing break although I imagine that the summer season could be the opposite. Even though we had hired a very small car, we were unprepared for the narrow road from Lecco through Bellagio and round to Lezzeno. While the road is in very good condition, the locals perhaps see nervous tourists as either an inconvenience or sport. We had intended to use this as a base for day trips into the Alps but the weariness from our long haul flight and the thought of negotiating the narrow bends and oncoming buses to get in and out each day prompted us to change our plans. But the change was perfect - at our slower pace we were able to take in the serene beauty, experience the food and wine of Northern Italy and leave the lake fully refreshed.

Room Tip: The Junior Suite in the Villa has a sitting area which is needed in cold weather. Tea or coffee faci...

We stayed at this lovely hotel for one evening at the end of April.

Our room was #206 in the newer wing and it was large and comfortable. The room had a private terrace that overlooked Lake Como and gave you the sensation of being right on the lake. The room was quiet and there was adequate parking for the car. Also, in this wing was a wonderful large terrace with incredible views of lake and mountains. There were umbrellas and lawn chairs provided for you to relax and enjoy the views. You could also bring up drinks to sip on while relaxing.

The food at the dinner and breakfast restaurants was delicious with many options to choose from. We found all staff to be welcoming, helpful and cheerful.

Stayed here again for two nights in April. Weather wasn't great but the welcome and service were as warm as ever. We stayed in one of the superior rooms in the new building and loved every minute of it. Two nights just wasn't long enough..

My husband and I are just finishing what has been the most delightful 4 days of our trip through Italy, having booked this hotel on the reviews of trip advisor travelers. The motel is easily reached via the c30 bus for a few euros which departs form both intercity and metro railway stations in Como and takes about 40 minutes to drop off at the door.
Attention to the fine detail and location is what has made this a top hotel for us. The staff were friendly and helpful at every opportunity. Our room has the tranquil lapping the lake outside our bedroom window, with a most magnificent view of a snow capped mountain staring at us as we relax and sip on our Chiantis. The spaciousness and decor of the room, internal heating system, comfortable lounges and bed helped make the cold rainy days we experienced here also enjoyable.
Breakfast room and bar have lovely finishing touches in lavender and white, with breakfasts just delicious with fresh tea and coffee made to order, fresh fruit, and any assortment of continental delicacies. I noticed even gluten free is provided. Highly recommended

We stayed at Hotel Aurora for most of a week in April and were very pleased with the hotel and found the service to be outstanding. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean, with a staff that went out of its way to assist in whatever possible. While we were in the older, original hotel and the room was smaller, it still had a small balcony and a wonderful view of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains.

Few ferries visit Lezzeno daily in the off season months, so if you do not have a car, getting around might be a bit of an issue. This is the one down side that I could see to staying at this hotel. We had rented a car, however, and benefited from the free parking. Bellagio is the next town, so you're strategically located to easily get anywhere on the lake.

We also took full advantage of the hotel's restaurant which is next door. The menu was diverse and the meals wonderful (I had some of the best ravioli that I've ever had!).

All in all, a great visit and I would definitely recommend Villa Aurora.
