“Excelent accomodations”

Apartment: very nice, spacios, clean, well equipped kitchen. Excelent terrace with beautiful sea views and a glimpse of the old town of Brsec. Living room doubles as a detached bedroom, with separate access to terrace, kitchen and bathroom, and a comfy couch. This was all appreciated by my teenage son, who used it as his bedroom.
House: positioned on the hill outside Brsec old town, say two minutes walking distance. This gives it great views, good parking space and good access to Brsec grocery shop and two restaurants.
Beach: two beaches actually. Both about half an hour walking, down and up hill. You can drive fairly close to the first one, Brsec beach, and leave the car on the side of the road. That makes it crowdy. The second one is less of a beach, more of a stony cape. It can be accessed only by foot, through a beautiful path that starts near Brsec church. Almost no one there, ever.
Host: Sandra was very nice, and very helpfull. She speaks good english, so communication was not a problem. Sheets and towels were changed when needed during our 9 days stay.

“Great place for chilling”

We rented a two-bedroom apartment for 4 nights. It was fully furnished, fully equipped with whatever one needs over a summer trip – from towels to AC, from cheese grater to microwave oven. (But don't expect washing machine or dish washer.) It all was super clean and almost like new.

Room sizes were about okay, the terrace was great in all means. Beds were comfortable (although in one of rooms it might have been a convertible couch). There were built in wardrobes, enough for a 3-member family. There was a TV set with set top box. (Fun fact #1: The manager excused herself for not being able to reset it, so I had to do it for myself, but it was okay.) Most channels broadcast in Croatian, but at least they're subtitled. (Fun fact #2: A few days later, Italian. Maybe the source satellite was switched meanwhile.) The WiFi signal was a bit weak, but net speed was adequate. The best part of the apartment is the terrace. It's huge, and provides a beautiful vista to the town and the sea.

We didn't have too close relationship with the manager and her family, but seemed nice and helpful people.

The town of Brseč is a typical Istrian village. Houses built side by side, narrow, maze-like streets. There's a little shop downtown, and you can eat out either at a cheaper pizzeria or at a posh restaurant. The town beach is beautiful, but it's 150 meters below the town, and the route there is pretty steep, narrow and curvy. If you have a car bigger than VW Golf you had better visit the beach of Mošćenička Draga.

I can barely mention any flaw of the location. We could have made use of a bit more of storage places in the bathroom, and the terrace seats will need replacement soon, and the terrace doors lack mosquito net. The only thing, that was really bothering, is the dawn tolling of the church bell that almost get me a heart attack each morning. The townspeople may convince church officials to suspend it for Summertime. :)

All in all, I recommend it to everyone, who looks for a silent, peaceful Istrian destination, far from the overhyped and overcrowded Opatija or Pula, close to the nature.
