We ordered the red snapper as recommended by people in line. It is fried but not like we are used to in the US, whole fish with a very light breading - it is wonderful. Comes with fritters, cassava and plantains with pickled onions. They ran out of prepared snapper so we waited while they fried some up and had some conch fritters.

Window service by a very charming lady while several cooks work to keep up. There are picnic tables on the beach and a liquor store next to the gas station.

FYI, they are only open on the weekends, is a definite locals place and cash only.

This is a casual fish shack right on the Beach in Bodden Town. I ordered whole fried snapper with fritters, cassava and plantain. Very good fresh fish and especially loved the fritters and cassava. The lady running the kitchen was very nice and told me how she prepares her cassava and gave me some of her homemade pickled onions and scotch bonnets to go with my fish. She also let me try a sample of the mahi, which was the other fish choice. Also very good. Prices were very reasonable.

Basically a carry out joint with limited seating. We each ordered a fish dinner which was very tasty and interesting to watch the process of the food being prepared. An authentic Cayman experience. Located only a few steps from where we were staying at the Turtle Nest Inn.

The Grape Tree is a beach shack cooking out standing food. Very rustic, and no frills. You get a great meal for a low cost, and something that's hard to find in Cayman. This is NOT upscale dining. You get your food and eat it at picnic tables right on the beach. Wonderful.
