Beautiful setting for the restaurant right on the beach with a view over a beautiful sunset - you really can’t get better. The food was delicious if a little bit pricey (but everywhere is on Gili Meno due to the remoteness!). The service however lets the place down. It’s hard to get anyone’s attention and almost impossible to get the bill at the end!

Unique location on Gili Meno, you feel at the end of the world with some coral reef and turtles in front of you. Dinner on the beach is also very pleasant

Facility is OK although could be cleaner, sheets felt dirty and got bitten twice by ants during the night! We know it’s tropical but still...

Food is just okay, considering you are in an island with almost no infrastructure but could certainly be improved given the standard the place is trying to have.

Service is quite poor with staff staying IDLE most of the time looking at you carrying your bags without helping or forgetting orders during meals or taking ages to bring them. Certainly an area of improvement

Overall still recommend this place for now in Gili Meno as it offers some of the best infrastructure but competition seems to be coming and standards would need to be raised for this price point

My sister and i have just spent a week at Mahamaya late May and we loved it! the staff are just wonderful, so friendly and they were just so helpful at all times. I know all staff in Bali tend to be very friendly but the attentive and friendliness of the staff here exceeds all expectations,
We ate all our meals here as the food was so good. definitely restaurant standard. My sister had the lamb shanks 3 times it was so good! I loved the beetroot and apple salad just divine and I thought the beef redang curry was the best I have ever eaten.
We had the beach front villas which were lovely but all the rooms looked very nice. Very clean and comfortable, lovely quality linen and the fluffiest towels I have ever had in Bali, the rooms had a cold water dispenser with a small fridge which was a very nice touch.
The snorkling out the front of the resort is the best I have seen at any resort in Bali/Lombok. Very, very clean beach and water (no rubbish at all) and we saw turtles every day! one day we swam with 3!! We felt just so privileged.
We also loved how the island is trying to get rid of all the plastic rubbish, the first time I have ever seen public rubbish bins set up, and they all over the island and I have travelled all over Bali and Gili Meno is the cleanest place I have seen, just a credit to the residents to rid itself of the scourge of Bali - RUBBISH.
We could really find no fault with Mahamaya but I would make make one small suggestion, not everyone likes loud bop bop music, especially when resting in front of your villa. My suggestion would be to have the volume at a much lower decibel so it blends into the background, not drowns it out. After all the sound of the waves and the peace is why people come here. If they wanted nightclubs and reminders of club
nightlife they would stay in Kuta.

We are definitely coming back here for a longer stay!

Room Tip: The beach villas are very nice with ocean views

had an amazing dinner here. it's fairly expensive but well worth it. I would like to return to stay, beautiful resort and lovely staff. Dinner on the beach front or sunset cocktails. recommended even if just staying on Meno

This hotel has 1 of the best snorkeling spot. Although we didn't saw any turtle but it's based on pure luck. Snorkel just outside the hotel. The underwater sculpture is just walking distance at BASK. They provide free snorkeling equipment, bicycle, kayaking.
Food is fantastic, best recommended Lamb Shank and their Creme brulee or ice cream with hot brownie. Be prepared to wait for at least 45min for good food. Fyi, the whole island pace is slowed down, its not your typical bustling beach. Mahamaya is the right place to watch sun set. White sand, blue sea. But beware of dead corals washing up the sea bed. Dont go on bare foot as there's alot of sharp corals at the beach.
Service was superb! Be prepared for water disruption or sudden blackout. Giving limited resource in the island, we don't blame the hotel, it's an experience though and they try their best to rectify immediately which is beyond their control. I dont know about other rooms but the air con in my room isnt that cold so it will be a little stuffy in the hot afternoon. Overall i would recommend staying in Mahamaya for a quiet, chill getaway from the bustling city life.
