We were already planning our next visit before we even checked out.
The resort made our wedding perfect. Everything was on time and exceeded expectations. The photographer was very professional while having fun.

The front-desk/wait staff were great. Friendly, relaxed, non-robotic, cheerful without fake smiles....just nice people. But the food and wine were overpriced. Rooms were also pricey but at least in the ballpark. Also, the quality of the meals -- especially room service meals -- was below expectations. I know this area is somewhat isolated, but still... And for the prices you charge, it would be nice to have just a bit more class. Salt and pepper...how about shakers/grinders rather than those tiny envelopes? You could improve the overall quality of the experience by attending to other little things. The ketchup was low quality. Heinz would be a big improvement. A high-priced cappuccino...good, but why put it in a paper cup? The portable heaters in the room were ancient and inefficient.

Enjoyed the area and the hotel, just a couple of cleaning issues, cobwebs in the bathroom and the baseboards were needing a clean and a wipe. The room service breakfast was very mediocre and expensive.

We stayed in cabin 11 (Honeymoon cabin) and the location was excellent. It literally was on the edge of the water, with a nice private patio to enjoy the view. Very secluded as there were only a few other guests in nearby cabins this time of year. It offered what we had hoped for, but there wasn't much to explore on the property itself, which was fine as we went on several hikes within a short drive away. Nice getaway while still self-isolating during these difficult times.

My Husband and I booked the Executive King Suite unit #25 for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary for March 18-21 2021. This was the first time ever celebrating our wedding anniversary so we thought we would spend a bit extra on a nice room. We arrived a bit early around 1:45pm and pre checked in. We waited for about 30 minutes before we got our keys.
Upon entry the room was a bit dated and had a stale odor. As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I am very understanding and do not like to complain however, the room was very dirty and there were aunt traps everywhere which my 2 year old son picked up and started playing with. This was very upsetting as it is toxic. That all aside, we wiped down the whole room with our own lysol cleaning products and moved on with our day. The grounds are beautiful so you are really paying for the location and the view, as the room itself is not worth 300+ dollars per night. . The staff were all lovely and their customer service was great. Two days in to our trip i noticed a red hard sore bump under my eyebrow. My son aslo started to develop red sores under his armpits, legs and folds of his arms. They were very tender, and its very unusual that my son and I both were having the same symptoms. Once we returned home we went to the doctor immediately, who then confirmed we both had a Staph Infection. Fun Fact: Staph bacteria can survive on clothing and bedding that isn't properly washed. To get bacteria off clothing and sheets, wash them in hot water whenever possible. Needless to say we will not be recommending this resort to any of our friends and family.
