Excellent stay with golf group and two rounds of golf.
Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Golf courses were superb and in great conditions despite some very challenging weather on the first day.
The restaurant food was excellent and hot. Cooked breakfast was great in the morning with plenty of choice.
Snooker, darts and pool are available which was great for our group and staff were all superb.
All in all a great stay and we will be going back!
Myself and my husband had the carvery on his birthday and the meal was lovely so we thought we go again to celebrate our wedding anniversary two weeks later…...oh dear what a difference. My dessert spoon was dirty and had to ask the waitress for a clean one, The plates at the carvery were cold which therefore made the food cool very quickly. I ordered the cheese and biscuits and the crackers were soft. This might have been a one off but I was very disappointed.
Had a fantastic few days, Golf courses (2) were in excellent condition considering the time of year, breakfast & evening meal were excellent... even the drinks were reasonably priced... Must mention the staff they were brilliant so friendly and helpful (keep up the excellent work guys)... Already booked to go back next year 2025
My experience of staying at this hotel on four occasions over 10 years has been broadly positive. It's ideal as a 'utility' hotel and better suits business travellers perhaps than as a couples 'destination' hotel.
The rooms have recently undergone refurbishment of the bathrooms which is a great improvement and room sizes are larger than others in its class. The inclusive gym is a match for any mid-range commercial gym and has a great atmosphere and all the equipment you could wish for. The pool looks a little dated but for the price, the overall hotel experience with these services included, plus the mature and interestingly designed 18 hole golf course is fantastic value.

Staff are wonderful - polite and helpful
Location is peaceful and relaxing offering an easy commute into Norwich centre.
Gym is well equipped and free to guests
Views from the dining room are fantastic across the golf course
Golf course is well presented and interesting
Rooms are clean and cheerful
The continental breakfast is good.
Negatives:
The cooked breakfast as mentioned by others is consistently poor. Dripping in oil and prepared seemingly without care and needs to ordered at the table. Suggestion - offer a hot buffet
No dress code - this is tricky one as some people will be offended and think its a snobbish comment but sitting in a dining area with guys wearing their soiled work clothes at breakfast and I don't just mean stained but carrying all the dirt from the previous day really is a bit much. The hotel isn't a work's canteen. A simple 'clean-clothes' code and enforced would be appreciated.
The drive into town at the busiest times is still only 30 minutes and it really is worth coming out this way to feel relief from the challenges of the city.

Most of the team are welcoming and very good , the aqua is good and classes are frequent , food is decent in the bar but can be rowdy if sport is on the tv
