We where staying in the hotel around the corner from this restaurant and pass it a number of times, when we stopped to look at the menu we decided to have dinner there. The food in this restaurant was one of the best we had while in Clare not to mention the view is breathtaking. The staff were more then accommodation, we will definitely eat here the next time we're down in Clare.

My Partner and I had the Pleasure of dining on 4th of June 2016 at the Redcliffe Lodge Restaurant which was part of our two night stay at the Redcliffe Suites which are adjacent to the Restaurant which are both managed and run by John O' Meara and his Team.

On entrance to the Restaurant it gave a feeling of being Plush, and was elegantly and tastefully decorated and had a very inviting and warming feel. The beautiful aromas of freshly cooking foods herbs and the smell of the Sea engulfed the restaurant,

The restaurant was very busy and echoed of people's chatter and laughter and the Ching of wines glasses as many people toasted with a few words.

The waiting staff to the tables were very friendly had a warm and welcoming smile while worked professionally and returning to the table at intervals to see if we required anything further. Nothing requested seem to be an issue.

The food being served throughout the Restaurant although simple food was brought to life by its amazing presentation and colour techniques.

I chose to have the Brie Salad for starter and it was amazing, The cheese was partly coated in crumb or rice and served with some salad and spiced apple and chutney. Delicioussssssssssssssss. I had the Monk fish which was the Catch of the day again this was amazing and served on a bed of pink coloured rice and had a selection of veg on the side. Its was fantastic. My partner had a Prawn Dish to Start and the usual Man's hearty dinner "Steak" which he asked for well done. It came to the again perfectly presented and cooked to perfection.

The wine selection although a good selection most were French it would have been nice to see a few more from the New World, However one fantastic wine to me was on the List and that was a Malbec from Argentina. So great wine great food what more could we ask for, well that was until the dessert came along, trying to choose between chocolate desserts, Cheesecake, Creme Brulee and a selection of cheese was difficult but I went on the cheeseboard washed down with a vintage port.

What a fantastic night in a fab restaurant with brilliant staff - and the best of all there was no taxi required as we stayed in the luxury suites which again were fantastic. it was great to end the night sitting on the Patio overlooking the Atlantic, sipping the end of the Wine listening to the crashing of the waves and the watching the sunset down over the Atlantic Way.

Thanks to all the management, Chefs and staff for a very memorable Evening and stay at Redcliffe Lodge Restaurant and Suites. We will be Back.

We had 3 of the suites which are really nicely decorated and equipped. Our hosts were really helpful and friendly. The restaurant was superb and catered well for both adults and kids. Would highly recommend for a family or a romantic couples break.
