We found Hotel Polo by accident when looking for somewhere to stay for one night. We ended up staying for 6 nights, as we were so happy here. Ziano is only a few minutes away from Cavalese where we originally were planning on staying but we found Cavalese to be too busy and crowded so we went for a drive to find somewhere else a little nicer. Ziano is a beautiful little town, with an old church, lovely streets to walk through, great little cafe's and restuarants, and most of all, is very quiet.
Hotel Polo sits on the main town square, and is an old and well-established hotel. It offers 3 levels of accomodation; we chose a superior room which was lovely, it had a good-sized modern bathroom with a great shower, and in the main room we had a couch and a desk as well as a very large and comfortable bed. Everything was really clean - not just in our room but in the whole hotel, and very well maintained. The hotel foyer looked really inviting and well-presented, and we were pleased to find that this was the same for everywhere else in the hotel too.
It was also very well priced - we paid 120 Euro per night for 2 people which included a sumptuous continental breakfast served in the restaurant (including freshly made cappucino), and for an extra 20 Euro for 2, we also enjoyed a 3 course evening meal which was absolutely lovely every night without fail. We made use of the evening meal 4 times as it was so nice, and this made it very good value as we could not eat out anywhere else for 20 Euro a night! The food was of very high quality, with three choices for a starter, 3 for a main, and accompanied by an extensive cold buffet, and dessert.
The hotel has free broadband which you can access in the lobby and bar area, and we enjoyed several lovely cappucinos and local wine while sitting there checking our e-mail.
We cannot fault this hotel - the service, cleanliness, food and overall quality was fantastic value for money. Although no-one could speak much English, the staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful and we got along with a bit of sign-language and had a few laughs too. Special thanks to Marzio the manager who helped us with our poor Italian on many occasions, and to ( I think) Adele who translated the menu for us each day and provided excellent service in the restuaurant. Our stay at Hotel Polo has helped make our trip to Italy very special.

Room Tip: Our superior room was overlooking the garden, the comfort room we looked at was overlooking the roof and road front. The location is quiet but i would recommend the garden view.
