The place is located about 1km outside Habarana, off the Trinco road, so it's a nice 15min walk into town. It's very quiet and well kept, so we do not share other commentators complaints about flies, leaking toilets and no hot water. Our room was huge and well equipped. Staff took care of us very nicely, dinner and breakfasts were lovely. Excellent place for elephant safaris in Minneriya and Hurulu Eco Park, and outings to Anuradhapura, Pollonaruwa, Aukana and Sigiriya. Beware: At night the area is full of elephants, so don't walk to and from town when it's dark!

Globally very poor. Breakfast was very simple and minimalist. Similar for dinner, expensive, indeed. No room cleaning during our 4 days stay. Very small soap to share for two, have to ask for additional toilet paper... etc. and full of flies… Better you look for another location and "better location" may also finally means to look stright for another country. Actually, I was totally disappointed of my journey in Sri Lanka. People "dealing" with tourist are interested on money, only. Always askinf for 4-5 times the right price and trying to cheat you. What a pity. Got heard as “What’s that for you ? You have money!” And my aswer “Well, please, in my country money doesn’t come down as rain!”. We were in Habarana, Kandy, Colombo and Mirissa, everywhere was the same unpleasant story. Relevant archeological sites are at a very expensive entrance fee, too. If you go there with a family be prepared for a very expensive holydays and absolutely with no value for money. I travel a lot around the world and feel not to be a particularly “difficult guy”, but really, I’ve neve seen such a kind of things. Forget Sri Lanka and go better to Myanmar, or Cambodia or Thailand, or… Italy, even Switzerland, that’s for sure much more better.

Room Tip: Nothing else

I would not recommend this place to older people or people who look for some luxery. The rooms are spacey but a bit damp. The (bath) room was not very clean and the matrass was really thin. The prices are good and if you're looking for basic it will answer your needs. Manager was very friendly to us.

We have stayed in this nice family hotel on a way from Kalpitya to Kandy. Its very conveniently located close to Hurula Nature Park where we went elephant watching. Rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable. There are ACs in each room, beds are convenient.
For a price you pay, its a very nice place, with good food.
Sunil makes you comfortable. All rooms are pretty similar, but in a far building its probably less noisy from the kitchen and the road.

We felt very welcome at this place. Sunil welcomed us upon arrival with a welcome drink and asked what we wanted for dinner even though we arrived after 8 pm. Sunil helped us in any way possible. Elephant riding, meals and transport to the next place. Thank you Sunil for the excellent service! And also thanks for the great food - we loved it!
