My husband, myself and our 14 year old stayed here for 4 nights in March/April. It was super easy to get to from the airport. The metro station is approx 10 min walk. The metro line isn't a popular one so you'll need a couple of changes to get into the centre/beach area of Barca.
Our room was spacious, modern and clean.
Super views from the roof terrace/pool, a lovely touch after a days sightseeing.
The breakfast was the same each day, but was all fresh and one.
Theres not much to do within walking distance of hotel, so bear that in mind if you fancy returning to hotel before you go out at night, otherwise it's fine if you are out all day into night.

We are staying at the SB hotel in Barcelona. Twice we indicated our air conditioner is not working and no one has attempted to resolve the issue. Instead we’ve heard conflicting reports - receptionist last night told us they would send maintenance and today they told us they’ll use an app to turn it on. Very inconsiderate and insulting (especially when we asked some of our fellow hotel mates if theirs was working and found it was) - they should resolve the issue or move us to another room! Apparently this lack of air conditioning is a recurrent issue Furthermore, it took them an hour to process our registration when we initially arrived. We are leaving Tuesday and we were told that only then could we be in touch with a manager - what kind of establishment is this? I am traveling with two elderly parents and this kind of treatment is completely at odds with their reputation as a 4 Star hotel - yet alone any reputable hotel. Very disappointed.

Rooms were nice but a bit on the small side. After a few days, the room and hallway started to smell like mold. Also, the breakfast buffet never changes so you get quite bored of the same cold eggs (we were there for over a week and the eggs were always cold). Pool on the roof was very nice and gym was nicely equipped.

Room Tip: Get a room with a terrace for a few dollars more

This visit was only the second time I've ever been to Barcelona. The first hotel we visited last time was a disaster so we decided to stay at Plaza this time. What a great decision!! Everything from room service and the staff downstairs to the rooms and the whole atmosphere of the hotel itself was perfect. Right at the check in we were given all the info we needed and even more, it just made life that much easier. Unfortunately we only stayed for 2 nights so I couldn't enjoy the facilities like the gym and sauna but from what I've seen they meet all the standards too. I can't wait to go back and try everything!

Good hotel close to one of the exhibitioncenters and a large mall . Easy acces by subway from the airport. And of course to the city itself. Clean room and a good breakfast. We dit not found to many restaurants in the neighbourhood.
