This is a beautiful resort in a fantastic position at 1850 meters above sea level at the foot of the Shah-Dag Mountain. There are wonderful views in every direction and a scenic waterfall behind the chalets. The accommodation is in attractive stone cottages spread over about 4 acres. Our room was en-suite but we understand that some units have a few bedrooms with a shared bathroom that might be suitable for friends or families to share.
Although the restaurant was closed for refurbishment the management kindly opened up rooms for us at the resort as there is little choice of accommodation in this remote area. We ate with a local family which we really enjoyed as we got to see real life in an Azerbaijan home.
Our room consisted of an entrance hall with doors off into the bedroom and the bathroom. The bedroom was average size with a double bed, wardrobe and TV. There was a fantastic view out of the window. The bathrom was small with a modern shower cubicle, sink and toilet and plenty of hot water.
The staff were helpful and friendly, although we didn't hear anyone speak English. We had a local English speaking guide with us.
This is a fantastic place to enjoy relaxing, hiking, birdwatching, or horseback riding.
