We had a great stay and loved the owners. Relaxed atmosphere and spacious accommodations. Well worth it and a beautiful side of Guadeloupe. Book your activities before arrival as many of the ones we wanted to do were full.

We thank you for this nice notice. It is true when peak season some activities are to be booked in advance.
See you soon.

Christophe.

We loved staying here! It was just our style of place, relaxed, friendly, comfortable, and well-maintained. It was a calm refuge. The fresh fruit, pastries, etc. at breakfast on the covered patio was a great way to start the day, and a Ti-punch at the bar was a superb way to end it. Catherine and Christophe were very kind and helpful. Our limited French was a small hindrance, but the willingness of everyone to communicate made up the difference.

We just returned from a 5 night trip where we had the good fortune of staying at Caraib'Bay. Catherine & Christope and all their staff were friendly and helpful. They made us feel incredibly at home and welcomed us with ti punch and juice for the kids upon our arrival. We are a family of four and met up with extended family where we occupied 3 separate bungalows. It was ideal to gather with family in the main reception area during breakfast or playing cards at night while allowing us to retreat to our private bungalow when we wanted some quiet downtime. As a mother with kids who are addicted to electronics I was happy our bungalow did not have wifi. This allowed us to enjoy the surroundings and connect with family more. A short walk to reception allowed us to catch up with emails where there was ample wifi. The hotel had a lovely breakfast every morning and my kids especially loved the croissants and hot chocolate while I loved the fresh fruits and yogurt. We also enjoyed having a mini kitchen and fridge so we could buy groceries and have snacks on hand. Caraib is centrally located and we loved being able to walk down to Grande Anse beach. At the beach, don't miss getting a bokit (friend bread sandwich) with chicken at one of the food trucks right across from the surf. There is also a great take-out restaurant right across from the hotel called Passion Creole. Catherine ordered dinner for us there and had it delivered to our room since we arrived late on Christmas day when all stores and restaurants were closed. For families with children I also highly recommend Cherry's Pizza au feau bois which is a short drive away. My children, ages 10 and 11, felt very safe walking around the hotel and also stayed up at the library/ reception area alone at times when I ran errands in town.
We look forward to returning to Caraib upon our next trip to Guadeloupe as we now feel the staff and owners are our friends who will welcome us back with open arms.

Room Tip: Take showers at night since the heat comes from solar power.

As a couple we had masses of space in the two floor duplex and, being right at the end of the line, it was extremely quiet. It was a long way down to the bathroom during the night! The upstairs bedroom could have done with better lighting so that we could use the chairs to read.
It was great to be able to do some simple cooking in conjunction with great dinners in Deshaises and reasonable breakfasts in the hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful, booking diving and restaurants for us and giving great advice.
Internet only in the bar/restaurant and by the pool, but this is fairly standard for the island.

My daughter and I absolutely loved this place. The staff spoke great English and went out of their way numerous times to help us with activities and answer all our questions. The bungalows themselves are nestled in a lush jungle setting, yet are only a couple miles from the cute fishing village of Deshaies. Breakfast was always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend if you are looking for a smaller, charming place to stay. Thank you Dominique, Catherine, and Melanie!
