We stayed at Le Rayon Vert for two weeks in February 2018. We found the open-air hotel restaurant absolutely charming. The hotel is located on a hill looking down on a tropical garden and a sea often dotted with sailboats. Our room was simple and elegant with a private terrace. We enjoyed the restaurant (especially the wonderful breakfast!) and the bar where we looked out at beautiful sunsets almost every evening. Most of all we were very pleased with the efficiency of the service. We much appreciated the kindness and the care that the staff showed us at every step of the way despite our almost non-existent French language proficiency. Five star all the way.

Good view over Ferry bay with rooms in several buildings around attractive gardens (plenty of steps!). Excellent infinity pool. Good sized bedrooms with plenty of facilities, except no WiFi in rooms. Restaurant average, maybe good for a hotel. Breakfast OK except cooked sausages & scrambled eggs looked horrible, but this is France! Overall good value for money. I would return!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while we were in Deshaies. We absolutely loved it. We arrived late on Monday night and the manager (owner?) was able to throw together a quick meal for us from the kitchen even though it had already closed (which was great because we were starving and tired). The view from the hotel is amazing...you can see the rainforest and the ocean, and the property is very peaceful. The breakfast buffet that was offered every morning was an excellent start to our day (assortment of meats/cheeses, fruit, yogurt, eggs, pastries) and the meals we ate at the restaurant were some of the best we had in Guadeloupe. We were treated really well by the staff and the rooms were charming and clean. Also, the infinity pool is a gem (this was my husband's favorite part of the whole trip).

Just a little note though, if you are used to staying at Hiltons/Marriotts and similar chain hotels, you may be a little disappointed. The room itself is very simple and would not necessarily meet the same standards as the aforementioned hotels. Also, the fire alarm went off at 4am one night, which woke us up (and we couldn't return to sleep after that). However, we loved our stay here and would definitely stay again.

We had a delicious meal of sesame crusted salmon, salad, ratatouille and delicious potatos. The platter of food was large with generous portions. It was delicious. The service was excellent as well and the waitress spoke enough English to help us decide what to order. Great place and experience!

This hotel is small and beautiful. The rooma are clean and the views are terrific.
The big problem is that everybody is allowed in the pool. So you get families arriving at lunch and just invading the pool area (beautiful infinity pool).
So you may stay at a cheaper hotel and come here to spend the day without spending 170 euros a night
